Is a high performance vocal training program. Taught in small group classes of (max. 7) and in 5 week blocks of 2 hour classes, it is real singing for real singers. Zack has been a manager, artist, songwriter, producer and record executive. He is also well known as the voice of reason as a judge on Canadian Idol for six years.
Raised by an opera singer mother, Zack was the lead vocalist in several bands in Toronto and Los Angeles. He also studied vocals with a wide range of teachers including the legendary Rosemary Burns. During his career, Zack played pivotal roles in the development of Down With Webster, Skye Sweetnam, Heather Russell, esthero, Robin Black, The Philosopher Kings, Patricia O'Callaghan Lukas Rossi, the first and second place winners of the Amatuer Singing Contest (with John Santos) sponsered by OMNI TV and a wide list of other artists. His artists also toured with and recorded alongside John Legend, Sugar Ray, The Black-eyed Peas, Brittney Spears and many more.
From all these exposures, Zack has built the program of Idol School. Technique, song choice, uniqueness, stamina and real stage presence are all key issues. Who are we? Where are we going? Why are we singing and why this song? what makes us stand out from the crowd and creates a true artist identity? These are the questions that singers need to ask. This is not memememe, lalalala, ooooooo singing. This is the truth path to self discovery as a singer and artist.

the idea - I knew Anouska was coming over and I had nothing planned, and didnt want to venture outside, and I just had this idea of buying lots of cotton wool and making little clouds and filming her really over exposed with the 500D (Ive had it for months without making good use of its tasty HD video!) so we tried it and somehow it sort of came out like I'd hoped!

Dive behind the scenes of "AI WESTERN," an experimental film project reimaging the American Wild West through the lens of advanced generative artificial intelligence. This triptych illustrates the complete creative workflow, moving from ideation to asset management.
The process begins with the genesis of visual concepts (Image 1) displayed within the Midjourney interface. This extensive mood board establishes the cinematic tone, featuring varied compositions of lone cowboys silhouetted against golden-hour sunsets, sweeping mountain landscapes, dense misty forests, atmospheric campfires, rugged frontier towns, and iconic elements like steam trains and bison herds.
The project's identity is crystallized in the title design (Image 2). This vintage-inspired graphic features the text "AI WESTERN" in a distressed, slab-serif font against a weathered red background, complete with a classic cowboy-on-horseback silhouette, evoking the nostalgic feel of old western movie posters.
Finally, the workflow moves into production (Image 3). Shown here is a video asset management interface where the initial static concepts have been transformed into dynamic motion clips. We see video thumbnails corresponding to the earlier mood board—galloping horses, burning structures, and serene canoe rides—organized and timestamped, ready for the final edit.
This project is a synthesis of historical nostalgia and futuristic technology, defining a new era of digital storytelling.

Camera: Filmed by my father using an Hitachi Video8 VM-E23A camcorder.
Format: Video8 analog tape captured on June 4, 1992.
Aspect Ratio / Resolution: Native 4:3 standard definition (SD) with characteristic home-video grain, date/time stamp overlay, and subtle video head distortion artifacts typical of the format.
Post-Production:
Editing Software: Processed and edited using Shotcut.
Audio: Background musical track added during post-production in Shotcut, overlaying the original ambient beach audio.
