By the early 1980s, video games were hugely popular and the market was starting to get crowded. Game developers were scrambling for any kind of edge over the competition, and Gottlieb decided to try featuring the famous and beloved educator, Uncle Herbert.
However, they couldn't afford the likeness rights and ended up using a newcomer they could get cheap.
This is a scan of the proposed packaging for a very rare prototype of the original version ported to various current gaming systems of the day.
