This is a still of my Sony Vegas Studio editing screen. It shows three different camera clips on their respective timelines. Video on timelines two and three have been split. That is where I determine when each camera's video is shown. As the cursor (the thin vertical line) moves, it shows the relevant clip in the preview window at the upper right. The main audio is also show as the purple waveform on the "Audio 1" timeline.

Did some colour tests using Avid's native Colour Correction tool. Seeing how far I can push the footage. I tried to capture opposite ends of the spectrum of light and mood. Also a slow mo test using Avid's Timewarp tool (10% of original speed). Wanted to see how far I could push both the footage and Avid as a software.

Apple feels that it's okay to throw professional editors under the bus by taking their tools and dumbing them down in the hopes of attracting more amateurs!
Any self-respecting, professional editor should BOYCOTT 'Apple' until they realize that it's not all about the money! I Implore you not to go down this path! The three “A’s” (collective, communities) Avid, Autodesk and Adobe are ready to embrace you with open arms!
There is no way that any professional post house would use iMovie for anything. Pro Shops wouldn't be caught DEAD using iMovie. It doesn’t support tape/tapeless timecode.
It doesn't read or capture the timecode present on the recording media. It tosses it...disregards it. Because it is a consumer app and consumers don't need timecode. Professionals RELY on it through-out our projects.
