At first, microphones on the ceiling seemed a fad to me. But. When you have a videoconference (Georgia state opts for simple vid confs such as Skype, webex, and hangouts) you can move all over the room without a worry about sound.

Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn delivered remarks at the 2nd ASEAN Outstanding Social Welfare and Development Awards Ceremony via videoconference today. Dr Kao commended the awardees for their dedication and hard work in raising the standard of living for vulnerable peoples in the region, and in advancing gender equality and social inclusion. He encouraged the awardees to continue contributing to ASEAN’s work on promoting gender equality and social inclusion in the social welfare and development sector particularly in the implementation of the ASEAN Gender Mainstreaming Framework and SOMSWD Work Plan 2021-2025 and Its Results Framework.
