ces innocences bafouées
dans la terreur, le carnage,
que faire, que répondre
sinon continuer à nous ouvrir
comme pétales au soleil
avec la caresse du vent,
la bienveillance de la terre
qui berce d’un même rythme
le monde en entier.
Chantez avec des fleurs,
fêtez toutes les couleurs,
portez l’amour en bandoulière,
allongez-vous sur des parterres odorants,
respirez les sourires, respirez les sourires
même à l’ombre,
même au soir triste,
respirez les sourires
qui ne se voilent.

These are the stripped remains of the British steamer “H.M.S.Crested Eagle” on the beach of Zuydcoote (near Dunkirk). The wreck is a tragic reminder of the WWII Dunkirk evacuation: operation Dynamo. The Crested Eagle run aground on May 29, 1940 after being attacked by German dive bombers and set on fire, killing more than 300 soldiers and crew.
The Crested Eagle was one of 228 larger boats lost in the operation. Including the smaller boats, the number of ships sunk is more than 300.
We all have to make sacrifices. Some with more blood, others with even more. Some with short pain, others with never ending. Have a great halloween time :)

Guruka Knife
The kukri or khukuri is a Nepalese knife with an inwardly curved blade, similar to a machete, used as both a tool and as a weapon in Nepal. Traditionally it was, and in many cases still is, the basic utility knife of the Nepalese people. It is a characteristic weapon of the Nepalese Army, the Royal Gurkha Rifles of the British Army, the Assam Rifles, the Gorkha regiments of the Indian Army, and of all Gurkha regiments throughout the world, so much so that some English-speakers refer to the weapon as a "Gurkha blade" or "Gurkha knife".

During late 2018 and into most of 2019, CN Experienced a rather drastic power shortage. In an effort to combat it, they leased various engines. A large group of former CSX 8-40CWs were amongst the engines leased as shown by train M397 as they cruise by Lansing with a big train on the drawbar. Much like the leasers, the CN owned Dash 8s are also being stored, retired, and sold off. Just another casualty to time and modernity.
