An abstraction that's both of the world and out of it...
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

Epithalamium ... Carol Ann Duffy Rings
For both to say
I might have raised your hand to the sky
to give you the ring surrounding the moon
looked to twin the rings of your eyes with mine
I might have tied a blade of grass ...
I whispered the word in your ear
that brought us here,
where nothing and no one is wrong,
and therefore I give you this ring...

Blah, blah, New Pip-verse whatever.
So, this one isn't as clean as my Batman or my Superman, but I like how it turned out. I'm especially happy since I could never make a cyborg since he normally requires some unique parts. Though, I'm regretting adding red and blue lights, it clashes too much I think.

The shape of the book is still well defined. However 150 years of rain, wind and snow have scrubbed away virtually all traces of the inscription. A growing number of stones in these old cemeteries serve only as grave markers as there's no longer any visual reference as to the names of the deceased. Any direct descendants are dead. No one visits these graves or maintains them. And the stones are left to simply wither away. That's where I come in.
So, this is the last of my Pip-verse Justice League.... Yup. Totally didn't make a Flash and forget to edit him...
(I'll get to it eventually... Maybe.)
Anywhoozlesworth, Aquaman. I didn't want to make him all manly and bearded and, ya' know, Thor-like. My goal was to make it look at least somewhat like his classic costume while being modern-looking as well.
So, story...
I'm thinking he's a marine biologist, 'cuz I don't know Aquaman's original origin. xP While exploring a sunken city he finds a golden trident. Upon pulling it out the city comes back to life and the residents declare him their king, 'cuz he fulfilled some sort of prophecy or whatever.
As far as powers, the trident lets him breath underwater, swim at high-speeds, attack fluently in the water and communicate with sea life.
Yeah, I like this one. I had a lot of fun coming up with the design and story.

Let friends forbear to mourn and weep
While sweetly in the dust we sleep:
This toilsome world we’ve left behind
In heaven a resting place to find

O ME! O life!... of the questions of these recurring;
Of the endless trains of the faithless—of cities fill’d with the foolish;
Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?)
Of eyes that vainly crave the light—of the objects mean—of the struggle ever renew’d;
Of the poor results of all—of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me;
Of the empty and useless years of the rest—with the rest me intertwined;
The question, O me! so sad, recurring—What good amid these, O me, O life?
Answer.
That you are here—that life exists, and identity;
That the powerful play goes on, and you will contribute a verse.
-- Walt Whitman
This was another fairly quick figure. I'm pretty happy with the way he came out! And I'm sorry if the editing isn't as good as My last picture, I was kinda rushing it. :/
Okay first off, the cane was made out of a BrickForge shepherd's crook that I modified and the end of the cane has a Lego katana handle glued on the end. The watch was made from a BrickForge vambrace piece with the end of a stud glued on. The face/body/arms/legs are all 100% painted by me. The vest and coat sleeves were sculpted using a self-hardening clay called Miliput. That's about it, thanks for looking! :)
The Grave Ballad
You ought to know, though you may rave,
that we’ve had one foot in the grave
since we were born – and like the chains,
our every move the grave restrains.
Thus chained, we slowly plod along,
more and more grim, less and less strong –
until wham! one day it feels as
if the soil has just swallowed us.
Straight from the well-known path so neat
down there we land on both our feet.
A bit of wind, with rain combined –
and lo! no trace is left behind.

This is one of my poems I wrote in Polish and then translated into English.
Today (08.02.2022) is my father's birthday. If he lived, he would be 72. He died 20th December 2009.
Mourning chooses its own paths...
The poem, in both Polish and English versions, has been included in my latest, bilingual (Polish-English) book of verse, "Frigor Mortis" (Warsaw 2022).
PS. For my Polish observers, this is how the original version goes:
Ballada o śladach
Dobrze jest uświadomić sobie,
że tkwimy jedną nogą w grobie
przez całe życie – i ten grób
jak łańcuch plącze się u stóp.
Człapie więc człowiek na łańcuchu,
wiotczejąc w ciele, więdnąc w duchu,
aż dnia pewnego nagle: trach!
zapada się pod nami piach.
I prosto z wydeptanej dróżki
do dołu – hyc! na obie nóżki.
Powiał wiaterek. Deszczyk spadł.
Ni jeden się nie ostał ślad.
An inspiration from a good friend. The right page is from a 19th century children's book. The left page is mine, photo and verse.

I had a request to put Scripture on some of my favorite images, so I will be adding some of my favorite verses. No comments are needed but if you want to, by all means, please do! Thanks for enjoying them!
