This was my first serious vector drawing using Illustrator cs3. Since then I have gone vector mad creating all sorts of neat images...

There's a pretty cool art installation called Vectorial Elevation setup as a part of the whole Olympics extravaganza. This night was especially good for getting photos of the different searchlight patterns as the clouds were more varied than the usual flat overcast that hangs over the city about this time of year.

I ended up setting my camera to manual, and the shutter speed to bulb so that I could get clean exposures of the beams. The patterns shift around after about 12 seconds, and it took me a few moments to recompose between patterns.

I usually shy away from All Polymer/plastic body guns; I guess I am old school. I love GUNS to be made of cold, hard steel. I was a bit hesitant to get this, but the mechanics of the recoil engine intrigued me on both the RS, and the GBB airsoft version. Now- I don't have a class III license, let alone $2000+ for the real steel carbine version. So airsoft wins again. I was actually going to get a WE M14, or their Dragnov, but then I got the news that KWA was going to sever ties with KRISS, and they will no longer make the airsoft replica.. CRAP! The KWA Vector was on my 'to-get-before-I-die'list, but sorry M-14& SVD; I will not want to make the mistake like the KWA G18C, back in the day. I ordered the KRISS ASAP.
