Vases and Flowerpots.

A flower, A vase.

A vase collects dust until there is the perfect flower,

It is more than just a vase then.

It is a life preserver, without the vase the flower would not survive.

A flower is just a flower until it finds the perfect vase.

It is more than just a flower then.

It is the meaning of life, without the flower the vase would only collect dust.

I'll hold the water you need to survive, you'll be my reason to live.......................................

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate vases and flower pots at Smile on Saturday.

As you all know by now, I’m not very good with plants or flowers in general. Apparently we have very harsh weather conditions here in my home and there is no plant able to survive…So since I dont have many plants and I don’t get flowers often (and that is perfect !! I prefer a bottle of gin over flowers ;-)), I dont have many vases or pots in my house. But luckily for me, my sister gave me this tiny pot and it is perfect for this challenge. I was thinking about a very resistant plant that could survive in my home … It must be a very sturdy plant… and not too tall… colourful (purple is a perfect color)…Just like a pencil: very sturdy, not too tall (it can always be shorter) and very colorful ! But since we want some greenery, this pencil-plant should be mixed with a tree… Trees in Canada are very, very used to harsh weather so I should try to create a combination of a Canadian tree and a wooden pencil in my tiny pot…And that is exactly what my picture illustrates: a perfect pencil-plant in its pot !

Mucho, mucho amor for you all !! See you later my friends and have an amazing day !!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!

...it's good that we can remember wonderful holidays we went on before this time of lockdown. Cornwall was one of the best!

Simplicity is the final achievement. After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes, it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art...............

I want to know how it's life under your skin ... The vase is a gift from my mother, she bought it in her youth and bequeathed it to me a long time ago. I like it a lot, there is always room for a flower there. This one dried up at some point. But so beautiful that I left the daffodil in the vase. Sometimes these things are fond memories. And sometimes you happen to see that even dried up things are still alive and talk to you. Sometimes more than living people ;-)

The lyrics of this song are just great – just a little long for here ...

Der Text dieses Songs ist einfach toll – nur ein wenig lang für hier ...

I covered these cans with air drying clay. Before I colored the clay with food color (nothing else was at home). After drying, I embellished them with gold foil (metal, not real gold:-)). Finish was a matt clear coat.

Voila - the upcycled flower vases
