La riserva turistica di Varallo, offre la possibilità di pescare solamente a mosca e no-kill per oltre un chilometro lungo il torrente Mastallone, dalla confluenza nel Sesia al “Ponte delle Folle". Raschi e buche si alternano ad ampie lame, rendendo agevole la pesca.
Varallo Sesia, riconosciuta come città, e come città d'arte, sorge lungo le rive del Sesia ed è divisa in due parti dal torrente Mastallone, suo affluente, che separa il centro storico, detto Varallo Vecchio, dalle aree più recenti. Unisce attività industriali e turistiche. È dominata dal Sacro Monte di Varallo, uno dei maggiori luoghi di culto della chiesa cattolica del Piemonte.

Varallo, commonly known as Varallo Sesia, is a comune and town of about 7,400 inhabitants in the province of Vercelli in the Piedmont region of north-west Italy. It is situated in Valsesia, at 450 metres (1,480 ft) above sea level and some 66 kilometres (41 mi) north-northeast of Vercelli and 55 kilometres (34 mi) northwest of Novara.
