First, you must accept the fact that there is not a bad seat anywhere in Stresa. From all positions, you have a view of the hillsides, the lake, the rooftops. I always said that Stresa should be renamed NoStresa!
Stresa is a small town of about 5,000 inhabitants on the shores of the Lago (Lake) Maggiore in Italy. Since the early 20th century, the main source of income has been the tourist trade. It benefits from spectacular views as well as areas of historical and architectural interest.

It was a rare and quiet morning with only one other nice photographer at the South Tufa State Reserve.
The other photographer was named Blanca and she is originally from Spain. I hope one day she sees this photo and I would tell her that she was absolutely correct on shooting from this vantage point and about the Adobe Valley.

A view of a section of the railway line that traverses the centre of Corsica, starting from the capital, Ajaccio. I thought I knew the timetable well enough to be able to capture a shot of the train coming out of the mountain tunnel but, alas, despite a lengthy wait, nothing appeared

I seem to be getting a backlog of photos so to freshen up my feed I thought I'd post this shot from a few months ago.
This was on one of my regular evening trips to see the owls when I came across this gorgeous youngster.
Although the owls don't show there is always plenty of other wildlife about particularly in Spring when this shot was taken.
