पहिल तर तुम्हा सर्वाना नवीन वर्षाच्या हार्दिक शुभेच्छा. बहुतेक सर्वजण ३१ डिसेंबरची रात्र जागून नव्या वर्षात झोपी गेले असणार पण आमचा प्लान काही वेगळाच होता. वर्षाची सुरवात ट्रेक ने करायची आणि पहिला सूर्य बघायला निसर्गात जायचे. पहाटे ४ ला निघून आम्ही पौड मुळशी ताम्हिणी लेक-४९ करत धनगड (घनगड) सर केला. ह्या आमच्या वेडाबद्दल पुढे वाचण्यासाठी इथे क्लिक करा...

To get this shot wake up at 3.30 am in the morning head towards Tamhini wait for sunrise. Once you get the desired light then just start clicking...but its not that easy there are many hurdles chilling weather, bad roads and of course to find the secret lake :-)

A group of us from the Northeast Photography Club decided upon visiting Lehigh Gorge and Hickory Run today... Those in attendance: Marty Straub, Jakub Jasinski, Vaibhav Bhosale and me. Lewis DeJoseph planned on coming, but the stomach virus going around, put him out of commission for today.

Marty Straub had mentioned that his friend, Ben Prepelka (of Scenic USA) was coming in again and wanted to set up a group photo excursion with members of the Northeast Photography Club.
Had a great day at Dingmans Falls, Childs Park and Raymondskill Falls with Marty, Ben, Vaibhav Bhosale and Jakub Jasinski.
If we would have arrived 1/2 earlier, I think the whole falls would have been in the shade.

Marty and I decided on make a short trip to Seven Tubs Natural Area. Vaibhav Bhosale (VB) posted a message in the NE Photo Club Facebook group and Joe Statuto and Michael Carey said they would be able to make it.
We arrived at the parking lot at 8:30am and VB was parked getting his gear together. We all walked over and started shooting... we all kind of went our separate ways.
Once I made my way up to the stone tunnel, I spied Marty as I was heading back downstream. He asked if I met Joe Statuto... I had not. We both made our way to the vicinity of the metal stairs. I crossed the stream and said hello to Joe and his wife. VB joined us. Marty was still getting some shots of the water stream. He crossed the stream and met up with us. Marty set up his recently purchased Sony A7r and we posed for a group shot.
Not long and Michael Carey headed down toward us from above. So Marty had everyone group up to take another shot.
We chatted a bit more and once we were ready to call it a day, we headed back to the parking lot.
I tried photographing closer to the tub / pool, but the rocks were too wet and I didn't want to go for a swim with my gear (so I got the shot from my usual location).
