This image features in my Latest Vlog on Youtube. The Link to the video is above. The Image includes in the middle distance, a flock of Rare Black Billed Gulls which have recently made the Lake their Home. The Image was a 22 shot Hand held Vertical Panorama, processed in Camera Raw, and finalised in Photoshop. Am I pleased with this image, No because it is not perfect. The imperfections are blurred raindrops, able to be viewed ay 200% against the Bush. I Hope you enjoy this image and watch my Vlog

My vlog of this one is up now youtu.be/VOVVdc-sH-c I find photographing snow very tricky. Sometimes I just cannot find a composition in all the chaos. This image was almost shot by accident. I had decided that this tree in the middle of the image was going to be my focal point but the first couple of shots looked dull on the camera's screen. Then all of a sudden this light started to pour through the trees and changed everything. I decided not to recompose as I liked the contrast of the darker side of the woods to the light on either side of the image. Photographed at Forgandenny in Perthshire, Scotland.

Yesterday was a really productive day. After a 30 minute jog first thing, I decided to drive to Spey Bay, in Morayshire, Scotland, to do a vlog and get a couple of images. When I set out, there was a thick sea fog over the entire area but by the time I made it to this location, it had more or less completely burned off. This put somewhat of a damper on my thoughts of a moody, very long exposure so I had to work with what I had. Which, to be fair, wasn't a bad thing as the light shining off the pebbles on the beach made for a stunning scene.

My challenge lately has been trying to find compositions that are interesting enough to photograph in the bright, sunny weather. On a recent walk out to Logie Head, I stepped off the path along the coastline to the east of Cullen in Morayshire, Scotland, when I noticed this pool amongst the jagged, leaning rocks. With little to no wave activity, I was delighted when all of a sudden there was a slight surge that created a little contrast in the water.

Sunrise at Lulworth Cove, Dorset. I was watching a Daniel Wretham vlog from Lulworth Cove and realised it was a quite a while since I had visited/photographed it so last 2 weekends I have visited to shoot/scout. The forecast was for a bit more cloud but it's always pot luck I find. Anyway ...could not resist a pano here to emphasise the cove rather than cropping a lot of sky/ground. This photo is an 11 shot pano (I like to overlap a lot!) - each photo bracketed to avoid the sun blowing out the highlights. As it turned out the sun was diffused by that bank of cloud so may not have needed so I may not have needed so many shots for the bracketing but I like to be safe. The guy top right must have had a lovely view!
