The Nikkor 12-24 f/4 is easily the best 24mm lens Nikon have ever made. This was taken wide open at f/4, and the contrast and sharpness are exceptional. The bokeh isn't even that bad.
Please Nikon, make a nice 24mm f/2 prime which is as good as this wide open and I can probably live the rest of my days a very happy man.
