La chambre de transition de l'IRM (ou ce que certains patients appellent la chambre VIP). J'y ai passé 3 jours en isolement, le temps qu'on s'assure que je n'avais pas ramené une bactérie super résistante avec moi de l'hôpital Jean-Talon (ce qui n'aurait pas été étonnant). Heureusement, mes analyses se sont avérées négatives.
The IRM's transition room (or what some patients call the VIP room). I stayed in this room in isolation for 3 days, the time to ensure that I had not brought a super resistant bacteria with me from Jean-Talon Hospital (which would not have been surprising). Luckily, my tests came back negative.
These two are proberbly the most important women in my life. My Mum ( Eleda on Flickr) on the left and my wife Alison on the right.
We'd visited my Aunty today in the north east and took her dog Indy for a walk on the beach ( more pictures to come).
I'm pretty sure "aros de cebolla" is a bloomin' onion but didn't find out for sure.

Enzo Ferrari, Ingrid Bergman and Roberto Rossellini | 1950
Ferrari 375MM Berlinetta Speciale "Ingrid Bergman" | 1954
Film director Roberto Rossellini was one of the most important directors of Italian neo-realist cinema. His love of film began as a boy, when his father built the first cinema in Rome, thus giving the young Rossellini unlimited access to the movies. In 1948 he received a letter from a famous foreign actress proposing a collaboration.
Dear Mr. Rossellini,
I saw your films Open City and Paisa, and enjoyed them very much. If you need a Swedish actress who speaks English very well, who has not forgotten her German, who is not very understandable in French, and who in Italian knows only “ti amo,” I am ready to come and make a film with you.
Ingrid Bergman
From this simple letter began one of the most popular love stories in cinema history. An aristocratic, world-renowned Italian filmmaker. His beyond-beautiful, Oscar-winning wife. Fame. International intrigue.
Roberto Rossellini and Ingrid Bergman were close friends with Enzo Ferrari. In a conversation with Enzo, Ingrid said in regards to her custom ordered Ferrari,"instead of getting a new flat we
are getting a new Ferrari with a bigger trunk."
Carrozzeria Scaglietti was commissioned by director Roberto Rossellini to build a one-off version of the 375 MM with custom bodywork. This design later became the inspiration for the car which would be named after Scaglietti himself, the Ferrari 612. The colour chosen for the vehicle was not available with other Ferrari models. It was later made available for all production Ferraris under the name "Grigio Ingrid."
Romantic legend says that the car was purchased for Bergman by Rossellini as a gift immediately after the Paris show. But, according to Ferrari expert Pete Vack, in an article published in FORZA magazine, those closer to the family insist that Mrs. Rossellini was never particularly crazy about her flamboyant husband's taste in cars and never considered this one as hers. "I'm sure Roberto doesn't know the effect it has on me," she is claimed to have said, "when he roars off in one of those monsters."
Love, hate, and lore aside, the 375 MM was a grand and timelessly elegant statement. Just like Bergman herself.
