President Barack Obama came to Virginia Commonwealth University on Saturday after not performing so well at Ohio State University, calling the campaign a “make-or-break moment” for the middle class. Obama encountered a crowd of over 8,000 supporters at VCU’s Siegel Center when he came to Richmond.

RAMS Abroad- Ram is the VCU mascot. One of the objectives of our office is to add an international experience to VCU students' academic studies; therefore, RAMS Abroad is a perfect name because it represents a core goal of our office. We are interested in participating in the race and encouraging faculty members who lead programs abroad to create a similar activity. Students on short term faculty-led programs do not always have the opportunity to discover a foreign city or country on their own. While Stephanie was abroad, she lived with a host family for 3 months. In order to learn more about the local culture, she had to engage with her host family and ask questions in the local language. Living with a host family taught her to not be afraid to ask questions to locals. They know the area, customs, and culture. If you are to have a successful experience abroad, you must be open and willing to learn and ask questions
