The VBA (Veicolo Blindato Anfibio, in Italian) it's a amphibious vehicle product of Consorzio Iveco - Oto Melara on the base of project VBM Freccia. The SuperAV (Surface Performance Amphibious Vehicle) is based on Freccia hull, but more raised than the latter to improve movement in the water. It's an armoured 8x8 wheeled vehicle, with high load capacities. 560 hp Iveco Cursor engine, 700km of range. This version mounts an remoted HITFIST OWS turret by Oto Melara: one ATK Mk44 Bushmaster 30mm main cannon; 7,62 mm coaxial machine gun, Janus optical system, 1 side compartment for 2 Rafeal Spike missiles, engagement systems, which allow it to operate both day and night, infrared (IR) systems, anemometer and laser rangefinder. In the event of a system failure, the turret remains operational and ready to fire via an optical aiming system. There are also 2 launchers with four smoke bombs each. The variants for the foreign market of this vehicle will be mainly adopted by the US Marines: the American model is known as ACV 1.1, by Iveco-Bae.
This would turn out to be quite a rare shot really, as it spent very little time running on its original plate, becoming TPX 884 just a few weeks later, and retaining that plate for the rest of its working life, which went on to 2005.
GMT took delivery of 4 new Tiger / Paramounts for the Charterplan coaching unit in 1985, with B368-70 VBA having 53-seat 3200 bodies, whereas 371 was a 3500 with 49-seat executive spec., so the obvious choice for the rally. It stayed here until the sale of the unit to East Yorkshire Motor Services in 1996, then in early 1998 it was sold to Rothbury Motors in Northumberland, who used it until 2005, then put the plate onto a couple of their other coaches in later years.

This is the planetarium on Monte Sano in Huntsville, Al. I took this a couple of years ago and never posted it because it did not come out exactly how I wanted it. While taking the shots, a guy came out of the building with a green laser and pointed all over the grass.

New to Finglands
After a few years' absence, double-deckers returned to the Langston & Tasker fleet for school contracts won in 2011. All are Volvo Olympians, three of which are former Finglands vehicles with Alexander Royale bodies. This operator also has N740 VBA and N743 VBA, but not N741 VBA as that one went to Tees Valley Coaches in the north east.
