The cranberry fritillary (Boloria aquilonaris) is a species I don't get to photographe very often - but it's treat everytime I do. The underside is actually prettier, but I like this view as well.
This was shot using the Sigma 180 mm f/3.5 Macro w/ a 2x teleconverter and the 360 mm focal length certainly made it easier to get a shot without scaring it off.

Cuckoo wasps, also known as emerald wasps are brilliantly beautiful little explosions of colour - which of course make them excellent subjects to photograph. What isn't as excellent is that they are not much about staying still. Instead they seem to be nearly constantly on the move.
This one however was the exception to the rule. I spotted it on the outside of my mother-in-law's greenhouse and marvelled at it staying still long enough for me to get several promising shots. And after that I decided to try and get it onto my fingertip - which also worked! Once there I could turn it around and find a couple of more angles.
But it still didn't leave so I popped up my mobile and took a couple of shots with that camera just because. And then I walked to the other side of the garden with it on my hand and showed it to my wife describing why it was cool pretty much the same way as I have done above here.
This particular species is one of the very similar ones in what is known as the Chrysis ignita complex. The ever helpful expert Alexander Berg slightly leans towards Chrysis solida so that's what I am thinking as well.

Changan is the best-selling local carmaker in China, being strong in both passenger cars and commercial vans/cheap MPVs. Changan has a wide SUV-range, consisting of the CS15, CS35, CS55, CS75 and CS95, as well as the value-oriented CX70.
Together with SAIC, FAW and Dongfeng, Changan is considered one of the 'big four' of China, referring to the largest car producers in production volume (including production for foreign joint venture partners like VW, Peugeot-Citroën, Honda, Toyota, Nissan or in case of Changan: Ford, Peugeot-Citroën (DS Automobile only), Mazda and Suzuki.
Changan was allegedly founded in 1862 as a gun store and assembled a jeep from the late 1950s. Changan has one of the largest model ranges of indigenous models as well. Changan currently has a passenger car and commercial car label, both named Changan, but distinguished by a different logo.
The Changan Yuexiang, English name Alsvin, was the production version of the V101 concept launched in 2008. Sales started commenced in 2009. It is a compact sedan and hatchback (V102) which borrows some styling cues from the first generation Mazda3. The Alsvin V5 with a front end similar to the second generation Mazda3. It was basically succeeded by the Alsvin V7, launched in 2014.

On the day of departure my Taiwanese friend surprised me by calling this special Luxgen V7 taxi. The Luxgen V7 is essentially an M7 with a raised roof and mostly meant for taxi purposes. Here it is parked in front of my old university in Taipei (NCCU).

Creator's Notes:
Well, here he is. After 8 months of being non existent, I bring forth Ventum V7. I had a blast building this version of him. This was, needless to say, my attempt tat fusing V5, and V6 together. I think it came out well. I went with a more "Futuristic" look this time around, and I think it pays off. I also obtained the Modalt Kakama you see before you to assist me in the aesthetics department. I have also re-added Teal as an accent color. Some will say I did not add enough, but it is meant to be a highlight more than a bold color.
The moc also brings back the wind blade from V2 and V3, but more modernized in look, and with not one, but two. Teal being a part of V4.5's color scheme, and then the chest armor from V6 (not to be unoriginal, but because it was the best option). Overall, the moc feels complete to me, and I feel I have done my job. Feel free to give me some C&C.
And one last thing, my Birthday is this Friday. I'm not sure if I'll post for that or not, but yeah. Happy birthday to me =P
