Last sunday my hubby and I drove into the country to get some fresh air since I had been working from home and hence staying inside (as requested) for the most part of that week (now it's already end of week 2 of home office and self distancing).
Spring blossoms blown in the wind and with manual focus - so not completely sharp ... but I like the atmosphere !

I finally got an adapter for my Pentax body! So I've got even one more Nifty Fifty, lol ... and was very surprised about the 'cheerful' bokeh character of this one : ))

In 1054, Chinese astronomers took notice of a “guest star” that was, for nearly a month, visible in the daytime sky. The “guest star” they observed was actually a supernova explosion, which gave rise to the Crab Nebula, a six-light-year-wide remnant of the violent event.
With an apparent magnitude of 8.4 and located 6,500 light-years from Earth in the constellation Taurus, the Crab Nebula can be spotted with a small telescope and is best observed in January. The nebula was discovered by English astronomer John Bevis in 1731, and later observed by Charles Messier who mistook it for Halley’s Comet. Messier’s observation of the nebula inspired him to create a catalog of celestial objects that might be mistaken for comets.
The colors in this image do not match exactly what we would see with our eyes but yield insight into the composition of this spectacular stellar corpse. The reddish filaments are the tattered remains of the star and consist mostly of hydrogen. The blue in the filaments in the outer part of the nebula represents neutral oxygen. These (and other) elements were expelled during the supernova explosion.
A rapidly spinning neutron star (the ultra-dense core of the exploded star) is embedded in the center of the Crab Nebula. The neutron star, like a lighthouse, ejects twin beams of radiation that make it appear to pulse 30 times per second as it rotates. Text from NASA\Goddard

This image was captured during an amazingly beautiful sunset down at Dún Chaoin (Dunquin Harbour) on the Dingle Peninsula which is located on the south west coast of Ireland in County Kerry.

If some of these photos look familiar, they probably are - I'm organising my photos from 2008, and taking the oppertunity to rework some of them and either upload for the first time, or replace older photos.
In this case, this is a newly uploaded photo, given the slow removal of the V-Sets from the system.
Air Namibia Airbus A340-300
A photo from July 2012, when Air Namibia used A340 to operate the WDH-FRA rotation. This A340 started its life with Air France in 1994 and also operated for Sabena and LH (D-AIMF, nowadays A380 reg). It was withdrawn from use in November 2013 and got replaced by A330's. Here it is seen lining up runway 18 on a great evening.
I received a set of Cactus V5's from Harvest one.
I'll test them more extensively soon, but they seem to have a few advantages in comparison to the V4's :
- they are transceivers just like Pocket Wizards
- they include a channel dial instead of small switches
- they are bulkier
- they include "When light dances 2", with one of my pictures inside! :D

I'll come back soon to report about their reliability : how fast, how far, how often?
They could sync at 1/1000s with a D40.
