xubuntu update notifier disable

Photo taken today before she went in. Thought it might be her last one with me.

Cali is home. Disoriented and groggy but eating and drinking. She appears to have lost weight. She is down from 270g and is back to 230g. AS soon as I picked her up she felt back to normal. I know her liver is still big but something has changed. Possibly the weight gain was more of fluid build-up than liver size. Waiting on results. If it's a tumor its possible to give steroids to slow the growth and reduce inflammation to take the liver out of immediate danger. I am inclined to take that option if she continues to do well as she has not been sick with this, apart from the weight she has been bright, active, diet good. If we can eliminate the danger of the liver rupturing then I am happy to see how she goes. As long as she doesnt not appear in pain and is enjoying life we'll see. But this is still all results pending.

The whole procedure and sending of results, (and post op check on friday) would have cost me £364 but my vet capped the costs at £300 for me.

Have given the cab roof a curved feel instead of slopes.

Well, seeing as I'm not very stable on here, and I vanish randomly, so of the few people that know me and stuff deserve an update is they still remember me. I'll be discussing two things: 1, what I've been up to. 2, Why I haven't been on. Let's start off.

For starters, I haven't really been up to that much. Boring answer right? You need better. For one thing, I've moved recently. My mom's getting married. Hanging out with my friends. Boring stuff. For game I've been playing AQW and poker on facebook because I can't play anything else, which I'll explain shortly. I've been hoping to get goldeneye for the Wii, still working on that. I'll post whether or not I get it. And now, for reasons I haven't been on. Well, I've never been really regular on Flickr anyway, I've just never been that interested. And I haven't had any games to play. The reason of that is long, so bear with me. For starters, I have a pretty nice laptop, runs games pretty good, I was playing TF2, Star Wars battlefront 2, all sorts of games constantly. Then I downloaded something with a virus, and bye-bye hardrive. I was using my moms computer for a bit, but then it broke. SO now her hard-drive is in my computer, but it's the wrong type. So, the reason I can't play games is that it's not reading the video-cards, graphics drivers, etc. All I can play is browser based games and stuff like that. So now I have to buy a 50 dollar hard-drive, AND a 200 or so windows 7 operating system disc. So that's not happening soon seeing as I can't even buy goldeneye seeing as my budget is tight.

So TL;DR, things aren't going so great, I'm probably never gonna get fully back into flickr, I can't play stuff on steam with anyone, and I'm bored as hell most of the time. SO if you suffered through that, there's a update for all you guys that care. If you ever wanna get my steam name for when I can actually play, and just wanna talk, leave a comment.

Cya guys.

Firmware updates aren't my favorite things to do, but you know you just have to do it. Lol ;)

Garden Update 20250813

My Jean-Paul Gaultier collection with their boxes and cans.

The young man of Hauran kept the boys and girls updated in Giza with the latest updates from the mobile phone checking the Sham News Network on the Facebook

The Syrian mainstream media claimed that this protest was a pro-El Assad !

A slight update/revamp in the office.

New speakers, Edifier RT1700BTS, new audio interface, behringer UM2 which has really surprised me how good it is for the money as has my new mic, a BM800.

Other new additions to the office, a Raspberry Pi, 3 Pi 'cluster', the 5,1 Mac Pro is down from the loft running ProxMox with various work and home related VM's, its space in the loft has now been taken up by a Dell R710 setup basically as a NAS.

I also have a 2012 Mac Mini setup as a Plex server now hidden away in the unit on the right. Again for a fairly dated bit of kit, it performs really well.

I've also put some of my fountain pens and cameras out on a new shelf unit that I still need to stain.

The only thing I really want to replace now is the monitors. I want to replace them with a 49".

I may start using the Mac Pro for a daily machine with and push its services to the R710.

Just to give an update on the slipper situtation.... Last night we were sitting watching tv and I kept seeing Murphy tackling something out of the corner of my eye.... upon closer inspection I saw it was my new pink slipper. I thought he had wrestled the one slipper I had and was trying to get it under a chair that matches our sofa... I WAS WRONG! It was the opposite! He was unearthing the other one!!!!! So Murphy gave me my present for Christmas... We thought he had mailed it to Florida originally but I don't know what he mailed now??? Watch out for what ever it is Sharon!!!!

Just a note... Look who is in the background... Probably looking for something else to steal!
