This little English sports car appears to be the Mark III version built in 1966-74. It's parked on Mittelstraße (Middle Street) in the Dutch Quarter (Holländische Viertel) of Potsdam. Its shiny black paint nicely reflects the clouds and houses around it. This is just one of the sports cars I admired in my youth but never owned. [DSC08224_lr_2000]

Sehnsucht nach dem Meer.

The first floor of the building on the right has a light on behind the shutters. That’s what prompted me to take the photo. I imagined him/her/them in bed, perhaps reading a book before they turned the light off.

Des travaux sont en cours depuis fin 2006 pour dégager l'allée de sphinx (dromos) qui s'étendait sur près de 3 km et reliait les temples de Karnak (temple d'Amon et temple de Mout) et le temple de Louxor.

Cette allée, peut-être conçue par Aménophis III, fut construite par Nectanébo Ier (XXXe dynastie).
