Bond Street Station - Elizabeth Line

‘FROM UNDER THE GLACIER’ reminds us of a much slower passage of time: how our journey through this network of tunnels has literally cut through geological time itself.
Artwork designed by British artist Darren Almond, Bond Street is the busiest station on the Elizabeth Line, bringing passengers into the West End of London.
End of the line, or just the beginning, depending on your destination, one of the newest stations on the London Undergound having been opened in September 2021, right in the heart of London in zone 1 & partly funded by the nearby Battersea Power Station redevelopment, a very trendy area on the banks of the Thames.
As iconic as London itself, the London Underground logo.
Frank Pick came up with the iconic London Underground roundel as above, along with various art deco styling in the stations & the Johnston typeface.

Seen in happier times, on the Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska Line in Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2022, undergound metro stations in Kyiv became home & shelter for residents fleeing the destruction caused by Russian forces invading Ukraine.
Thoughts, prayers & love sent to everyone in Ukraine at this very difficult time as your country is being invaded.
Shame on you Russia - shame, evil & murder of the innocent.
