I toned the original print in selenium toner diluted @ 1:200 for about 2 minutes. It's not easy to see on screen, but the print has bleached slightly, the contrast has reduced a little, and the tone has become less red. I like the colour.

This is a scan of a print. The original digital photo was first processed in Photoshop to create an 8x10 inch digital negative. The negative was then sandwiched between perspex and a piece of art paper coated with Vandyke brown chemicals which are sensitive to UV light. Next I exposed everything in front of a portable UV tanning lamp for 7 minutes which imprinted the image onto the art paper. At the final stage, I developed the print in water and then fixed it using hypo - the same chemical used for fixing black and white prints in the dark room. The original print is a slightly darker brown tone than this reproduction.
Wet cyanotype, with citric acid and salt added, UV exposed in sunlight, and developed in a hydrogen peroxide bath.
