From 2022. For the last image in the series exploring an abandoned sanatorium, I thought I'd leave with a more uplifting photo. This beauty poked her head in to one of the lab rooms, curious to see someone in a place she'd likely never seen anyone before. Rather bold for me to suggest this, but she reminded me of Steve McCurry's famous 'Afghan Girl'. They both have the same questioning look at the photographer, I suppose.

Early in 1914, moreover, we realized that it would be impossible to free the Saint Anna from the ice; at best, we would drift until the autumn of 1915, more than three years after we had departed Alexandrovsk.* If we stayed on board, starvation would become a real threat by January 1915, if not sooner. In the darkness of the long polar night, a struggle against hunger carries no hope of salvation. During this season, hunting is out of the question, as all animals are in hibernation. The only certainty for those trapped in its realm is that "white death" lies in wait for them.

Mist clears to reveal these dramatic scenes on Buttermere.

Morning mist lifts to reveal fine views of the Buttermere Pines.

This is one of my Lace-cap Hydrangeas (Meaning in Ancient Greek , "Wet/Moist Earth" -- Hydra =wet/moist, Gea = earth !!). And they love the moist atmosphere and earth! And only passing sun, prefering the shadowy spots. They love the acid soils, so, I add iron in their compost, in order to make them .....happier....and bluer!! But, .... don't you know, that plants are like us, with their likes and dislikes????

Hydrangea is their Botanical name, but in France, Belgium and Greece, they are called Hortansias.

When someone is inspired to create a Poem, he/she is uplifted!!

When someone is uplifted, he/she is temporarily found in a very original, private, personal world of Beauty (or not…), inspiration, and refinement, extreme pleasure (or not…). He/she feels strong emotions and sensations, while creating his/her poem; a huge creativity!!

Poetry in Nature is the creation of Mother Nature’s upliftment!! Which creates enchantment, creativity and inspiration in certain humans..

Whatever mess you find yourself within

Regardless how you got there

When the edifice has slipped away and died

And left you standing there defenseless

Love can heal

Love can heal

Love can heal

Love can heal

There's something moving out of you, your body and your skin

Like mist comes from the water

You can sense it, when the cold has clenched its claws

And, alone, you face what's coming

For a moment, I raise my head

I can breathe the air

Out in the sunlight, in all the colours

Set against a bed of green

A bed of green

Love can heal

Love can heal

Love can heal

Love can heal

Love can heal

(Give into love) Love can heal

Give into love

An aerial view of Hill Country along the Willow City Loop in Gillespie County, about 85 west of Austin. Some of the oldest rocks in Texas, both Cambrian and Precambrian formations with some dating back 1.3 billion years, can be found in the region known as the Llano Uplift.

This area can be seen along the Willow City Loop, a scenic 13-mile road through privately owned land with some of central Texas's oldest and most unique geology. The views of the hills, valleys, creeks, and flower field meadows—particularly in the spring—are quite beautiful. While we visit this area in the spring and fall of every year, this is the first time I've flown over it with a drone. efault

Street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Lined up for a candid shot a split second too early and received this wonderful spontaneous smile as a result - enjoy!

Beautiful pink dogwood blooms. We have had a marvelous spring, with so many blooming plants lasting much longer than we typically enjoy in Cincinnati.

Strong windgusts create blowing snow at sharp mountain edges, glowing in the backlight, near Myre on Norway's Vesterålen islands. The same wind is used by a white-tailed eagle to climb higher and higher.
