I contacted The Savage via Myspace to see if I could shoot him before he left for Cali. It was his choice on what syle of shoot he wanted. He went with the gym and him working out, then afterwards, I asked if we could do some posed stuff. He needed some shots of him worked out for his portfolio for a UFC Fighter and Personal Body Trainer.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is the largest mixed martial artspromotion company in the world, which hosts all of the top-ranked fighters in the sport and produces events worldwide. Based in the United States, the UFC has nine weight divisions and enforces the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts. The UFC has held over 250 events. Dana White serves as the president of the UFC while brothers Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta control the UFC’s parent company, Zuffa, LLC.
The first UFC event was held on November 12, 1993 in Denver, Colorado. The purpose of the event was to identify the most effective martial art in a real fight between competitors of different fighting disciplines, including Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sambo, Wrestling, Muay Thai, Karate, Judo, and other styles. In subsequent competitions, fighters began adopting effective techniques from more than one discipline, which indirectly helped create an entirely separate style of fighting known as present-day mixed martial arts.
With a TV deal and expansion into Canada, Europe, Australia the Middle East, Asia and new markets within the United States, the UFC as of 2011has gained in popularity, along with greater mainstream-media coverage. As of 2011 viewers can access UFC programming on pay-per-view television in the U.S., Brazil, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Italy. UFC programming can also be found on Fox, Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2 in the U.S., on BT Sport in the United Kingdom and Ireland, as well as in 150 countries and 22 different languages worldwide. UFC programming is shown in 130 countries worldwide, and the UFC plans to continue expanding internationally, running shows regularly in Canada, Brazil and the U.K., with an office established in the U.K. aimed to expand the European audience.
The UFC has also bought and absorbed rival promotions Pride, World Extreme Cagefighting as well as Strikeforce andEliteXC.

Desde 2001, os telespectadores podem ver o UFC em pay-per-viewnos E.U.A., Brasil, Austrália, Canadá, Nova Zelândia e Itália. O UFC, nos Estados Unidos, também é transmitido pela FX, Fuel TV, Fox, Versus e Fox Sports 1, a ESPN transmite o UFC no Reino Unido e na Irlanda, assim como em 150 países em 22 diferentes línguas ao redor do mundo. O UFC planeja agora continuar sua expansão mundial, apresentando shows constantemente no Reino Unido, no Canadá e no Brasil, estabilizando escritórios na Europa e no Brasil. O UFC também já realizou eventos na Alemanha, na Austrália e nos Emirados Árabes, com planos para realizar eventos no México, nas Filipinas e no Afeganistão.
O UFC também já comprou e absorveu organizações rivais como Pride, World Extreme Cagefighting e Strikeforce.
A transmissão do UFC no Brasil, ocorre por pay-per-view, pelo Canal Combate, que transmite todos os eventos do UFC ao vivo, do canal SporTV, com pesagens e um card preliminar por mês. Ainda ocorrendo transmissão em tv aberta, pela TV Globo, de eventos que ocorrem no Brasil e reprises de eventos importantes, além da transmissão do The Ultimate Fighter Brasil e os eventos com suas finais.
O próximo evento do UFC é o UFC Fight Night: Brown vs. Silva, marcado para 10 de maio de 2014.
