· "Try both straps" on BART to secure your bike: velcro on the left, a nylon buckle on the right. This was better than the previous month's sign to "Try the strap" where there was no strap.
The straps they ultimately settled on were more like the one on the right, but not quite.
"LAMPHOL DER ADAPTER" is what I'm reading here. Maybe even one speck away from "L'AMPHOL DER ADAPTER?" Kerning is important.
Some CFLs had proprietary sockets and additional bits of plastic like this to adapt them to all the existing sockets in the world, and this brand of LED is playing that game as well.

· Between pieces, Sarah got up and spoke about all the funding shenanigans happening with the underutilized Music Concourse underground parking garage. Millions of dollars down the drain, and some of it wasn't even embezzled!

I got this embroidered hat from the head of Jay Watch in Florida. This is a Florida Scrub-Jay, which you can tell apart from the Western Scrub-Jay by the coloring around the eyes.
Some doofus had parked a truck at just enough of an angle to block the N-Judah tracks. All told, they held up 4 N-Judah trains.
(I tweeted this at the time, and Twitter gave me the appropriate emoji for the occasion.)

Just to complete the zaniness of a day where they put in new signs to announce straps for bike carriage, but forgot the straps ...
... here's an old sign to announce a rail to lean bikes against, for bike carriage, where they forgot to put in a rail.
· In the bike parking area on BART: "Try the strap and let us know what you think!" What I think is you probably should have installed a strap along with the sign, for us to evaluate. ;)
· Since BART didn't provide a strap to go along with this sign, I secured my bike with my own reflective leg strap.
What I think: It works great.

This green bike lane is being replaced with a raised bikeway. In theory this will protect bicyclists better than plastic soft-hit bollards or something.
