This was used by the RAF College Cranwell and Central Flying School (CFS) and then as a communications aircraft. It was ‘demobbed’ in December 1946 and in February 1947 was restored to the Civil Register, as G-AHSA, to become part of the Darlington & District Aero Club fleet. It was later owned by Wing Commander Haywood at Burnaston, Derby and suffered crankshaft failure when taking part in the film Reach for the Sky. It was then bought by the Collection. The engine was rebuilt by Armstrong Siddeley at Coventry from the best parts of three non-working units.
In 1979 major engine problems resulted in the aircraft being grounded. A worldwide search failed to produce a suitable replacement engine so the existing Lynx was painstakingly rebuilt by a senior engineer. The cylinders were sent to the USA to be refurbished.
It was completely re-covered in 2005/6 and is now painted in CFS Aerobatic team colours as K3241. It is the sole survivor of its type.

What's that? I neutered Bear today. He is 6 months old now and it was time to get him neutered. He did fantastic under anesthesia and during surgery and is doing great this evening. He even wants to play a bit! (Although he has been napping more than normal now). This is my first dog that I've done surgery on (well, my first pet of my own; I've done hundreds of surgeries on others).
Please folks - get your pets spayed and neutered. We all need to be responsible and do our part to decrease the over population problem!

L'associazione di promozione culturale "Basso Profilo" e l'associazione di promozione sociale "Arci Ferrara" hanno organizzato, dal 22 al 26 settembre 2010, il workshop internazionale "Alias: pratiche urbane in spazi altri" con il team di architetti "Ecosistema Urbano" (Madrid) e con la collaborazione dell'artista Ivan Tresoldi (ass. "Art Kitchen",Milano) e dell' arch. Francesco Careri (collettivo "Stalker/Osservatorio Nomade", Roma).
Il workshop, che si è svolto con successo nella città estense, è stato organizzato nell'ambito del progetto "Ri-Generazione Urbana" con il finanziamento della Regione Emilia-Romagna ed il patrocinio del Comune di Ferrara.
I partecipanti al workshop hanno lavorato su cinque aree di marginalità fisica o sociale della città di Ferrara, scelte attraverso il bando di concorso "Visioni Collettive".
