Training sessions for Classical Musicians at King's College Chapel, Cambridge. Was lucky to be able to see this, couldn't believe it wasn't a professional performance.

London (Ontario), 4 June 1988.

114173 wears the markings of the Central Flying School.

This plane joined the Snowbirds in 2000. The jet crashed on 10 December 2004 after a mid-air collision with another Snowbird. The Tutors collided at the top of a loop during a training. The pilot of 173 was killed, the other pilot was literally thrown from his plane (114064) and managed to open his parachute.

The Shuttleworth Collection's 1933 Avro Tutor K3215 G-AHSA at Old Warden in 1991

Brittany had an SX-70 lying around that someone had given her a while back, and she thought it was broken. I met her about a year ago, and told her I could take a look at it. Took her a while, but she got back to me, and we met up so that I could take a look at it and teach her a thing or two about instant film.

Of course, I had to take at least one shot of her for my own Polaroid collection, and so that I could demonstrate some of the things I was talking about. Her camera worked just fine, and hopefully she'll get as hooked on photography as every other Polaroid photographer I know.

Shuttleworth Collection owned and operated Avro tutor G-AHSA at Old Warden Season Premiere Air Show 2018. This is the only surviving example of this type anywhere and is painted to represent K3241 of the Central Flying School aerobatic team circa 1936.

This place is so lovely for teaching, and the student is so fun!

London (Ontario), 4 June 1988.

114102 was operated by the Canadian Forces Flying Instructor School at CFB Portage, Manitoba.

The Tutor was the standard jet trainer from the early 1960s till around 2001. Then they were replaced by the CT-155 Hawk and CT-156 Harvard II. However, the trainers are still used by the Snowbirds aerobatics team.

114102 is stored at CFD Mountain View, Ontario.

The Archer of Flame

The Sagittarius is free thinking and cannot be tied or tamed. It is no stranger to exploration and entering dangerous territory. But its risk taking can lead to life long lessons, which they are more than willing to teach.

Do i really have to say what weapon the Archer bears? :)

======================

This was definitely my most difficult Zodiac. I couldn't chose a decent horse...bottom.

Each one of the weapons and poses in these pieces was made by me.

I recently got talking to one of my college tutors about an old abandoned RAF base which I then later found out was about half an hours drive away from where I live.

Before I set off I did some overall research of the base, levels of security, areas of interest etc. A lot of forums online are not tailored to derelict places and usually give you all the information you could possibly need.

Now i'm not in anyway saying trespassing is an acceptable idea but in most cases the photos are more than worth it. As i walked onto sight it was a lot bigger than i had anticipated it to be. I thought there may be a few buildings left standing if i'm luck right? Wrong. Every building i came out of there was another one to go into only a few meters ahead of me and on this occasion i'm willing to admit that i did get lost several times. I was so drawn in by the atmosphere, presence and overall look of the buildings, i found myself walking off without actually remembering which direction i had set off in at all.

After riffling through half a dozen buildings, i then came to a building which had a tank situated in front of it. Already knowing there was 2 tanks somewhere on sight in Upwood i was rather looking forward ti stumbling across them as they don't usually give out detailed maps for trespassers. (I Imagine so anyway)

After photographing the tank i came into the building, and the room which is photographed is inside. After going/seeing a lot of the previous buildings totally wrecked or slowly decaying away it was surprisingly calming to see such a tidy room. As i walked into the main entrance of the room which is the far bottom left corner you instantly see the detail of the wood flooring, almost as if someone has come along and had a spring clean throughout the year,

I thought a straight, plain and down to the point photograph gave the justice this room truly deserved. All in all a great day shooting and even better exploration.

Sorry, this shot is uploaded twice
