The Archer of Flame
The Sagittarius is free thinking and cannot be tied or tamed. It is no stranger to exploration and entering dangerous territory. But its risk taking can lead to life long lessons, which they are more than willing to teach.
Do i really have to say what weapon the Archer bears? :)

This was definitely my most difficult Zodiac. I couldn't chose a decent horse...bottom.
Each one of the weapons and poses in these pieces was made by me.

Hannah enjoys reading and is looking forward to going to work in America, probably in September. I met her today on Glastonbury High Street. She was down from Birmingham visiting her friend Angie – who she had met while doing a degree in English.
I had seen them go into a bread shop. Standing outside, I wondered about going in and asking if Hannah would like to be part of my 100 strangers project. Hannah was wearing glasses and I have very few strangers wearing spectacles. Also she had a look that cried out to be photographed. As the shop was rather busy I decided to wait until they came out. I walked a little way up the street, rather than pounce on them outside the shop.
While I am used to asking one person from two, my task was made easier, as Hannah came out of the shop alone. I asked if it be OK to take her photo and she agreed straight away. I explained a bit about my project and asked if there were a couple things that she wouldn't mind sharing with the world.
As Hannah was telling me a bit about herself, her friend came out of the shop and we got her up to speed with what was going on. Angie seemed a bit amused and walked a bit further, I imagined to give us some space. As I took a shot or two, it seemed like Hannah was trying not to laugh. I wondered if it was nerves and considered changing to my 85mm lens, so that I could shoot from a bit further back. I asked Hannah, she said that she wasn't nervous, it was Angie – who was behind me and doing something that was putting Hannah off. After sharing this Hannah seemed to gather herself and became composed.
The next difficulty that I had was with Hannah's glasses, I was getting great reflections of Glastonbury High Street but I knew that this would distract from seeing her eyes. I mentioned this to Hannah and she asked if I would like her to take her glasses off. Although I had been initially drawn to her bespecticled look, I agreed because it would allow me to get a different photo and her eyes would be more clearly seen.
The light seemed very bright behind Hannah and I think that a reflector would have been welcome. I didn't have one, so I asked Hannah if it would be OK to try a shot up the street rather than down it. We walked up to a bench and I got Hannah to sit on my coat as it was wet. She offered to stand in front St John's church too, so I was able to get a shot from the other side of the street.
Hannah is currently gaining experience before going to work as a nanny in the United States of America. She works in a shop during the day but also tutors in English. Hannah told me a little of her current book which is one of Nancy Mitford's www.nancymitford.com. She also likes eating and I think that she likes music and festivals too as she has been to Glastonbury festival.
Thank you Hannah for letting me take your photo and agreeing to be in my project. You were a good sport allowing me to photograph you standing up, sitting down, up the street, down the street and over the road! I wish you well as you go to the United States and with your work here in the meantime.
This picture is #099 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page
