In an image drawn from the 2011 archives, the silhouette of a fallen tree and its reflection dominate the foreground, while the silhouetted forms of the shoreline trees beyond cast their reflections across the gently rippling waters.

It was such a treat to be able to get out of the house & visit this lovely little lake for the first time. A real treasure trove of photo-ops. If I can, I'll be going back there.
This one brings back such strong memories of South African safari again. We watched this leopard drag an impala up the tree near dusk, such an incredible display of strength. After a few days you become accustomed to the constant struggle to survive and the predator/prey dance of life. You no longer are shocked at the sight and sounds of the hunt, even the smell of fresh kill isn't repulsive as it was the first few times. It's the way of the wild, nature as it should be.
The memories of my time in 2019 in Sabi Sands always make me smile!

This is a shot from my Archives. I took this shot as I liked the way the mist wiped out all but the sunlight city high rise buildings and the foreground trees.
There are some very old and impressive trees full of character in the local parks, like this huge willow trees and I enjoy taking photos of them at different tims of the year.

During our heavy rain and hail storm a few days ago, the sun suddenly came out and there was this beautiful rainbow. The sun also touched the branches of this tree with gold!

Sometimes you have a better view under the trees. One of my favorite peaceful days is when I walk through the trees and sit under them. Communion with nature gives you a sense of peace that you cannot find anywhere!
On a cold evening just as the sun was setting, I managed to get a shot of the distant cargo ships in the Burrard Inlet under sunset skies. Behind them can be seen Vancouver Island and some snow capped mountains.
