This was one of the weirdest trees I've ever seen. The limbs remind me of a dancer with his arms stretched toward the sky.

Every year I like to get just a few (2-4) new Christmas decorations to add the the mix on our tree. This has paid off, as we have been able to retire some of the older, less interesting ones this year, and I will be taking some of them to work, to mix things up a bit there because we have an extra tree to decorate for a village festival.

This cheerful felt donkey is one of this year's newbies, from the craft market at Exeter Library yesterday. I chose it with H in mind, as he is particularly fond of (real live) donkeys.

It's been a really wet winter here!

去年はもう満開だったのに今年は桜遅いですね、

寒いですね。年々、暑さと寒さのふり幅が大きくなってきていると感じるこの頃。

Earth teach me to forget myself as melted snow forgets its life.

Earth teach me resignation as the leaves which die in the fall.

Earth teach me courage as the tree which stands all alone.

Earth teach me regeneration as the seed which rises in the spring.

A beautiful day walking in the neighborhood. The grassy area in the foreground actually acts as a stormwater detention area during large rain events-

The past year has been quite a journey. Looking back at the things I did ,the lessons I learnt, the mistakes I made, the crap grades, the wonderful people I spent my time with. It's been an incredible year.
