We recently returned from a trip to Southeast Asia, with our first stop in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur. We had only two nights there, so I was determined to make the most of my chance to photograph the majestic towers. Not too long ago, they held the title of tallest buildings in the world. That time has firmly passed, but interestingly—though not visible in this photo—Kuala Lumpur is now home to the second tallest building in the world.

I decided to leave the neighboring building in the photo... just for some framing and context. perhaps in later versions i will only show the city scape... what do you think?

KL, like many major cities, offers a fascinating mix of cultures and energies. I highly recommend stepping away from the dramatic, majestic business district to explore the neighborhood markets, where the city’s everyday rhythm truly comes alive.

As with my previous upload, I was recently in Kuala Lumpur as part of a Southeast Asia tour. To maximize my chances of capturing the Petronas Towers, we chose a hotel with this incredible view. This wide panoramic shot was taken from the hotel bar, just as the city began to stir at dawn. Watching the skyline come to life from that vantage point was unforgettable.<3 Gratitude

Sighnagh, perched on a hilltop in Georgia’s Kakheti region, feels like stepping back in time. Known as the “City of Love,” it’s famous for its romantic charm and the unique tradition that couples can marry here any time of the day at the 24-hour open city hall. In this photo, you see one of the historic city gates, part of the 18th-century walls built under King Erekle II to protect the town from invasions. Today, visitors can walk along sections of these walls and take in breathtaking views of the Alazani Valley and the distant Caucasus Mountains. Rising behind the fortified wall is the Church of St. Stephen, its tall bell tower standing like a silent guardian over the town. The narrow cobblestone streets, the warm hues of the rooftops, and the tranquil atmosphere give Sighnaghi a timeless soul, where history, faith, and everyday life blend seamlessly. This scene captures the quiet elegance of a place that has preserved its spirit, surrounded by vineyards and centuries-old traditions.

Sighnaghi, the “City of Love” in Georgia’s Kakheti region, is a charming hilltop town surrounded by 18th-century walls built by King Erekle II. From here, you can see the Alazani Valley and the distant Caucasus Mountains. The photo shows a historic city gate and the St. Stephen Church bell tower, timeless symbols of Sighnaghi’s past. With its cobblestone streets and peaceful atmosphere, it feels like a place where history and romance meet.

A growing community clings to the hillside, its homes scattered like cairns against the wind. From this vantage, Frobisher Bay stretches wide and indifferent—ice-laced, ancient, and unbothered by the noise of human struggle. Below the surface, the town pulses with contradiction: tradition and innovation, scarcity and ambition, isolation and interconnection.

They face challenges that ripple outward—housing, food security, cultural preservation, climate shifts, geopolitical tremors. Yet here, in the northern light, resilience isn’t a slogan. It’s the rhythm of daily life. Children walk to school past elders who remember a different world. Artists carve stories into bone and canvas. Leaders debate futures shaped by forces far beyond the bay.

The hill is no fortress. It’s a lookout. And from here, the community watches the world—and prepares to meet it.

After passing through the famous hole of Torghatten near Brønnøysund, this breathtaking view opens up toward the west coast of Helgeland. The golden hour has passed, and the blue hour quietly takes over — a moment when light and shadow meet in perfect harmony.

Fun fact

Torghatten is one of Norway’s most iconic landmarks, known for its distinctive hole running straight through the mountain. According to legend, the hole was created when the troll Hestmannen shot an arrow after a fleeing maiden — but the rising sun turned him and the arrow to stone, leaving the mountain with a hole through its heart.

We’re on our way to Udabno, tucked between colorful hills and bathed in the warm light of the setting sun. Down in the valley, countless cows graze peacefully in the evening stillness. b>Udabno lies in eastern Georgia — a land of vast emptiness and rolling hills, near the border with Azerbaijan. It offers a striking contrast to the lush, mountainous regions found elsewhere in the country. Here, an expansive semi-desert landscape unfolds, with soft, undulating hills, dusty paths, and endless horizons. The earth glows in shades of yellow, red, and brown, especially when the sun hangs low in the sky, and the silence feels almost tangible. You’ll often have the entire landscape to yourself. The surroundings are perfect for quiet walks, picnics, or simply soaking in the silence. From time to time, shepherds pass by with their flocks, adding to the timeless, almost dreamlike atmosphere. Especially in the early morning or at sunset, when the light turns golden and the hills glow in warm tones, the area feels truly magical.

In the remote east of Georgia, near the border with Azerbaijan, lies the quiet village of Udabno, surrounded by sweeping semi-desert hills. The landscape here is vast and colorful, glowing in warm tones as the sun rises or sets. This tranquil setting offers a sense of solitude and timelessness, with shepherds occasionally passing by and cows grazing in the silence. It's an ideal place for peaceful walks and quiet reflection, where nature feels untouched and almost magical.

Morning Drift Along the Grand Canal

As dawn breaks over Venice, the Grand Canal awakens in pastel hues, and your water taxi glides through a waking city of marble palaces and hidden courtyards. The gentle chop of the wake, the flutter of the Italian flag on your bow, and streaks of pink and lavender sky set the stage for an unforgettable morning ritual. From ornate façades reflecting in the canal’s glassy surface to the distant silhouette of a passing vaporetto, every moment feels like a secret shared between you and the city.

Here, time slows to the rhythm of lapping water and soft sunlight. You sip your first espresso of the day, breathing in centuries of Venetian history as gondoliers paddle past and shopkeepers raise their shutters. In this serene voyage, the ordinary act of crossing the water becomes a passage through layers of culture, architecture, and dawn’s pure magic.
