After overextending themselves acquiring Milwaukee Road, Soo Line established a wholly-owned division called Lake States Transportation Division on February 10, 1986, to operate its mostly former Soo Line trackage in Wisconsin and prepare it for sale. With this move, older locomotives and some leased power began to be much more common on these lines. On March 22, 1987, a southbound Soo Line (Lake States) freight climbs to the top of Byron Hill at Byron, Wisconsin, powered by two Soo EMD GP9s and a leased Conrail EMD GP38.

On May 7, 2020 D-Rpool 193 811 was the power for an westbound intermodal train at Haiding.

 

Am 7. Mai 2020 schlängelte sich D-Rpool 193 811 mit ihrem Zug des Kombinierten Ladungsverkehrs bei Haiding durch die Kurven. (5257)

The Hope Memorial Bridge connects Lorain Avenue on Cleveland's west side and Carnegie Avenue on the east side, terminating just short of Progressive Field. It was built in 1932.

¿Por qué el Oculus se llama "el Oculus"?

El nombre proviene de la franja de ventanas, o tragaluces, a lo largo de la columna vertebral del techo. Oculus es la palabra latina para "ojo", que, en arquitectura, se refiere a una abertura redonda o similar a un ojo con vista al cielo. Eche un vistazo a través de las ventanas y verá Freedom Tower.

 

Es una vista inspiradora.

 

Esta abertura también permite que entre la luz del sol cada mañana. El ángulo de las ventanas está particularmente colocado para que cada año, en el aniversario de los ataques, el sol brille directamente a través de la claraboya e ilumine el salón principal a las 10:28 am (hora del derrumbe de la segunda torre).
