for Macro Mondays .. Translucent .. 7cm x 7cm .. HMM :)

La mise au point a été compliquée, la goutte était minuscule....

Hotrod sedan with a 427ci Chevy under it's Chevy hood! You might say the "Heartbeat of America," had a heart transplant!

Long exposure of a tree someone "planted" at low tide. Thanks for your appreciation. Instagram @gks1950.

It's no visitor, but rather a transplant from other places even farther away that I may never get to visit. Durango & Silverton DL535 No. 107 is rounding the curve at milepost 455 on the north side of Durango. Such a neat loco. I'm glad to see one operating.

A copy of the Chinese Yu Garden and Tea House of Shanghai in Hamburg (Hamburg is twinned with Shanghai, and the city of Shanghai donated the garden). This is much more than a symbolic gesture. It is a real transplant. Think of the Hindu temples recently inaugurated in the UK: in each case soil from holy ground in India was inserted into the temples' foundations. The world we live in is increasingly relying on the creativity and functioning of such transplants.

Happy Monday dear friends, here's my take for Macro Mondays. Two broken shells from Portland shores came together to make a complete one, with Leading Lines! Enyoj your week and thank you for your visit :)

The transplanted flower really took off.

Thank you all for your visit comments and faves much appreciated!

Have a lovely Sunday.

It’s time to harvest some carrots and do a little transplanting.

My neighbor's tree was gorgeous this fall but it looked much better at the reservoir - transplanted pixel-by-pixel!

The new leaves are just emerging 2 weeks after planting so I guess it's happy, I can breathe easier! The blooms had come much earlier, months ago, from buds that lasted all winter.

This crumbling church was moved from its original location in Ludell, Kansas (not far from Atwood, KS--in the NW corner of the state--as if anyone HASN'T heard of Ludell!) to serve as a barn. Some of the interior structure was sold and removed which weakened it, and now, after a storm, its barely standing. Some other photos show the damage more clearly (see: www.flickr.com/photos/80014607@N05/20526814666/in/datepos... ). I haven't been able to find any other photos of this subject on flickr or the wider net, so I may be the sole discoverer of this spectacle as it now appears. It was just barely visible from State Highway 36 (during my trip to Colorado the summer of 2015), so maybe no ones noticed as yet. If someone CARES to notice, they'd better do it quick as she shan't be standing much longer.

Now, in 2024, I would be very surprised if this were anything more than a pile of sticks.

Scott pulled out his newest trees and plants this afternoon to transplant into better pots and soil.

When he stepped away for a minute to get something he needed I couldn't resist climbing up on a chair to get a shot of his set up.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

This is one of the Christmas ornaments from one of our outdoor Christmas trees.... it's a little scratched up, but I thought it still looked kind of neat.

My Mum needed to be transplanted and I was so happy to have this Potting Station to use for that. It was nice to be able to stand up and do the job.

Scott picked up two jade bonsai trees while we were in the market yesterday and set to work transplanting them into proper containers today.

Of course, I couldn't resist using this as my shot of the day. It has been a few months since I showed off his first bonsai transplant session so I figured a second showing was due.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

I transplanted (repotted) my tomato seedlings this morning. I've got some Krim, Roma, Sungold cherry, and a yellow/purple cherry going. I learned some lessons from last year, where they got too leggy and were hard to plant outside. Right now, these are just settling in.

This year, I started the seedlings a bit later, planting the seeds a bit deeper, and doing this transplant indoors. The seedlings were already 8-10cm tall, so I buried a good portion of the stems in to help with root development. Last year, I only transplanted them once, when they went outside, and I think the next time these get transplanted it will be outdoors in another few weeks. I used some Miracle Grow potting mix with moisture retention (blue bag), which has a tiny bit of fertilizer, so I'll feed these guys again in another week or two. I'll probably keep 8 plants, and give the rest of them out.

Some plants just don't know how to behave themselves.
