We were in Paris and saw the blue Eiffel Tower because France had the EU Presidency at the time, oddly enough it switched to Czech Republic just before we headed there. This is part of a celebration/recognition project by different European artists... but we actually spotted and enjoyed this guy before knowing what his significance is. Jaume Plensa from Spain made this piece, and it went up just a few days before we arrived in Prague.

Peach blooms outside my house.

Long story short...they froze.

now that I have envelopes in house, I see the positioning of the logo overlaps double and single thicknesses on the envelope. Since envelopes are made like crap now days (sorry Williamshouse & Old Colony), there's no way to be certain there is consistency where that edge will be on all envelopes.

So, I'm dropping the logo blck down 6pt or so, so no fussy makeready need be done, and there will be far less spoilage.

In October, CreativeMornings Philadelphia explored transparency with Conrad Benner, founder and editor of StreetsDept.com, a Philly-based photo-blog that documents and celebrates street art, graffiti, and urban exploration. In his talk, he discussed the challenges of documenting and celebrating an illegal art form, how keeping an honest dialog with his readers helped him to grow his blog and social media platforms to become one of the most followed individuals in Philadelphia, and how working openly with advertisers allowed him to turn his labor of love into a career. Photos taken by Steve Weinik.

This talk was possible because of our generous local sponsors: Center / Architecture + Design, High Point Coffee, and DesignPhiladelphia.
