The Origami Iris (also called an origami lily) is a traditional design loved by many. You have two versions:
- One folded from a square, then you get 4 petals ( the one on the left).
- Or one folded from an equilateral triangle, then you get 3 petals ( the one on the right.)
You can curl the petals ;-)) I put them on a mirror so you can see the curls better.
Have a nice Wednesday :-))

The Easter bonfire is an old tradition in parts of Europe, also here Germany. Its origins go back to pre-Christian times, when people lit large fires in spring to drive away winter and welcome the return of light and warmth. Later, the Christian church connected this custom to Easter, symbolizing the resurrection of Jesus and the victory of light over darkness.
Today, Easter bonfires are still very common in Germany, particularly in rural areas and smaller towns, where communities gather, socialize, and celebrate together. While the tradition exists in some other countries, it is especially typical and culturally significant in Germany.
In terms of meaning, the fire represents renewal, hope, and the transition into a new season. Easter bonfires usually take place on the evening of Holy Saturday or sometimes on Easter Sunday.
