newly formed ice along the shoreline (the sea is at left and ahead, just behind the ice mounds). As day temperatures rise above 0C the icy surface thaws, but in the afternoon when the sun begins to go low the water freezes anew/

De día la temperatura sube sobre 0C y la superficie helada se descongela, pero apenas baja un poco el sol cae la temperatura y el agua se congela nuevamente (DSC_0150-6)
