We are the Champions 🎶 by Queen.. one of the greatest bands ever. I saw them in person on Long Island NY and wow.. I still vividly remember Freddie running back and forth across the stage. What a great performer!! Back to the pic - The background is the cover from one of their vinyl records. The Freddie Mercury figure is doing the victory pose. ;-) HSoS! :-)

Little known fact: Boba Fett always had his ski suit aboard the Slave 1. He was a keen skier and visited planet Hoth frequently for it's unparallelled off-piste opportunities.

Before anti-grav engines were invented, machines like this were a common sight at spaceports. They were more adaptable, covered larger areas and required less infrastructure than cranes. The machines were also fun to fly, as can be seen from the expression on this pilot's face. Most were used for moving containers but this example is a specialist tank version, owned by the Octan corporation.
There should be some wise words, maybe a quote from a book that I still haven't read, but there also some reasons why I think I shouldn't say anything, so...
In case you wondered, yes, the entire picture is Lego, except for the lighting.
I'm sorry, I didn't meant to disappear, I was just too busy, and there also was a hot weather coinciding with hot water scheduled shutdown for 2 weeks, so it was rough, and I've been too exhausted to build and post anything. Hopefully I'll find time to take more pictures, I have some new exciting ideas and my old ideas are also waiting for me.

The transit of a moon seen from the surface of Hoth is a spectacular sight. Even in a howling blizzard, if the clouds were thin enough to let the sun shine through, the rebel speeder patrol flights were often paused just for the pilots could step out and enjoy the magnifcient celestial display.
Little known fact: The planet Hoth has three unnamed moons. Like with most planets, the moons' orbits around Hoth bring them in conjunction with the sun from time to time. The moons are too small to eclipse the sun, they only transit across it. The event is often refferred to as "the doughnut".
I tried to find out whether the moons of Hoth have names. Apparently they don't. I want to name one, where do I sign?
The thing about this photograph is that snowspeeder, of course. Many of you recognize it, I'm sure. It is almost an exact Larry Lars build with just a few modifications. I had attempted to build this several years ago. I downloaded the Larry Lars instructions, bought the bricks from Bricklink but eventually I couldn't figure out the build. I gave up.
So, this particular speeder was not built by me, nor Larry Lars. I received it as a generous gift from Dark Alamez who didn't know that I had tried to build one earlier. I am very grateful for this gesture.
I like that snowspeeder a lot. I've had it on my desk for months now, waiting for a good day to shoot it. In my current cycle of work such days are rare as hen's teeth, but last sunday night I took the time from my good night's sleep and just shot it.
You'll see more of it later, I'm sure.
I was at an event selling flutes and floors—there was a bit of downtime which means the toys come out! I love looking around in my current environment for spots to shoot; Lego and small toys really lend to the imagination. This was a shorter palm tree behind my stand. Earlier this week I drove out to Florence, Arizona for a business appointment and winded up stuck in traffic behind 5 miles of RVs on the highway. Turns out everyone was headed to an event called County Thunder. I pulled off near an abandoned piece of railway and found this weird trap of sorts covering about 20 sf of track. It was the perfect spot for a random exoplanet surface shot.👌
