Last light on Lembert Dome, from the Tuolumne Meadows Campground. The plane of the face is almost in the sun direction, so the portions that stick out a bit still catch the light. The parallel grooves at the lower left are the Water Cracks, an enjoyable 5.7 or 5.8 climb for folks starting out in climbing and going with a reliable leader.
Susie likes people. She's not afraid, and although I don't let her on me, she will sometimes reach out and touch when I sit out on the deck.

Romeo paid me a visit, early this morning when I wasn't expecting him, as always. It was a courtesy visit, not an interested one, as he didn't touch my little meat offerings :) /
Romeo m'a rendu visite, tot ce matin alors que je ne l'attendais pas, comme d'habitude !. C'etait une visite purement de courtoisie, pas du tout interessee puisqu'il n'a pas touche aux morceaux de viande - bien rouge et fraiche, pourtant - que je lui proposais :)

Actually clouds are to be on everyone's lips. This fact gives me the inspiration to create a contest. Please have a look www.flickr.com/groups/ngproinvitation/discuss/72157623873...
During this hike we touch the cloud a few times. Inside it's foggy and cold and you feel the wish arise to reach the sun as soon as possible.
I spend a lot of time for postprocessing. The overexposured clouds lets me doubt that it's not worthy for do work on it. But I found a way to recover it with the Capture NX Raw converter. There is a possibility to adjust the exposure there. So I did three different exposures from one raw and blended it after.
From Malbun we have the choice of hiking up or taking the chairlift to the mountain station at Sareis. From there, the Fürstin-Gina-Weg path follows the ridge path to the Sareiserjoch, where it runs into the ascending route from the Nenzinger Himmel and the path becomes more challenging. From here it's uphill between alpine flowers and along small craggy paths to the highest point of the tour, Augstenberg, at 2,359 meters above sea level with a large cross on the peak and a glorious sweeping view. The following ridge path to Pfälzerhütte (hut) is challenging, sometimes steep and secured with wire ropes at exposed parts.

One wintry egret barely touches the water as she wants to create as little disturbance as possible as she was fishing/hunting in that location. I am amazed how precise the movements of her feathers are, so her gliding through air is perfectly controlled. There's always something interesting to learn or something great to see again, when is about the wonder of survivors in the birds and other animals, decimated with irresponsible attitude by humans, climate change or simply destroying their habitats, in most parts of the world.
At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet.
