Another shot from the August issue of Attention SL. I did a fashion spread and my favorite shot was this one, featuring a dress from Tetra. My mesh body is Legacy featuring a custom shape from Tory King.
A couple of months ago..I was lucky enough to have the honor to meet Tory..when he posed for Tiya for her gallery..and of course..sneaky lil me.. grabbed a couple shots..*grins* I hadn't planned on sharing it on Flickr...but my PITA best friend..INSISTED I post it..LOL!

Dog Day Monday: Today I give you the newest image that I've posted on DDM, Tory, the English Spaniel that I met just last week at R. B. Garden. He was (is) beautiful, and as I guessed correctly, had just been groomed that morning. Park of his coast was so white, that I just coudn't find the correct exposure of EF and, every time he turned toward the sun, I'd get a flash back.
I asked the owner about Tory. First I asked if he was a special breed of Spaniel because almost all that I've ever seen at white, black, and chestnut while this guy was white and black only. As you can see by the sheen on the black part of his coat, they must have put something on him as the lat part of grooming that made him ... shine!
Tory is only two years old, is rather stainj, but " a lot of fun with the family, but not so much with "outsiders." That became apparent when none of my charms worked on him. It took almost 15 shots to get a picture that would capture the essence that is Tory. And yes, that is the essence of Tory.
I recently walked up Tory Hill in Co. Killkenny with friends from my "Meetup" group. We had a lovely pub lunch in nearby Mullinavat afterwards. I'd never heard of Tory Hill before, much less walked up it. It was a glorious day, after initial drizzle, with impressive views over counties Waterford, Kilkenny & Wexford. I was delighted to find common gorse still in flower for my monthly challenge. Happy Friday Flora!
There is an old saying "when gorse is out of blossom, kissing's out of fashion". Thanks to the 2 members of my Gorgeous Golden Gorse group who last year proved that gorse (common or western/dwarf) does in fact flower every month of the year somewhere in Ireland & mainland Britain. I keep hoping to find it in flower every month - fingers crossed for 2022.

"Tory Island, or simply Tory (officially known by its Irish name Toraigh), is an island 14.5 kilometres off the north-west coast of County Donegal, Ireland, and is the most remote inhabited island of Ireland. It is also known in Irish as Oileán Thoraí or, historically, Oileán Thúr Rí. The word Tory comes from the Middle Irish word Tóraidhe, which means 'bandit'
The island is approximately 5kms long and 1km wide. The 2016 census recorded a population of 119, a decrease from the 2011 population of 144. The population is distributed among four towns: An Baile Thoir (East Town), An Baile Thiar (West Town), An Lár (Middletown) and Úrbaile (Newtown). Petrol and diesel are available from Tory Oil at prices significantly higher than on the mainland.
Tory has no airport, but it does have regular ferry connections from mainland County Donegal. The ferry operates daily all year round. It does not take cars, but holds up to 70 passengers. During the winter months, ferry crossings may not be possible on some days due to rough seas. However, between November and March a 4-seater helicopter operates every other Thursday between Falcarragh and Tory."

Linię kolejową z Wrzeszcza do Starej Piły wybudowano w 1914 r. Miała ona 20 km. W końcu II wojny światowej wycofujące się wojska niemieckie wysadziły pięć wiaduktów. Po wojnie w użytku pozostał odcinek od Kokoszek do Starej Piły - ruch pasażerski prowadzony był do 1973 r., a dzisiaj sporadycznie wykorzystywany jest do ruchu towarowego. W latach 2013-15 odbudowano fragment linii od Wrzeszcza do Kiełpinka w ramach budowy Pomorskiej Kolei Metropolitalnej.

Tracks of unused "Kokoszki railway", Gdańsk, May 5, 2018
Railway line from Wrzeszcz to Stara Piła was built in 1914. It was 20 km long. In the concluding stage of the World War II, withdrawing German army blown up five viaducts. After the war only part from Kokoszki to Stara Piła was used - passenger service lasted until 1973 while for freight transport the line has been occasionally used until the present day. In 2013-2015 the stretch from Wrzeszcz to Kiełpinek was rebuilt as a part of the construction of the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway.
I have been sorting through old files and moving them for safe keeping to the new hard drive back ups. I came across this on that I took 10 years ago back in August 2011 while in Norfolk for her Dads funeral he was really lovely man so quite a poignant moment for us. I felt is was worth processing and maybe printing at some point Taken with my first proper camera my D3s and 70-200 f2.8 I really loved that camera and really think it was why I became so obsessed with photography and love it so much.
