I normally will never use a flower image that does not show a stem in order to ground the scene. However, rules are made to break! I wanted plenty of detail to show off the beauty of Glads, so I used a full top view.
Taken back in late Spring and I just forgot about it. Post in ON1 and texture/effect in Impresso Pro. Background created in Corel Painter.
Friendly robin helping me and itself to the grubs I was digging up! It kept going back to sit on top of the hedge and watch me. I laid the camera on top of the hedge in advance hoping for a shot or two!

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a red day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Macro Mondays is On Top. So after a very long and complicated brainstorming on this subject, I decided to go with a tiny wooden bike on top of a green pencil. Spring is just around the corner and we see more and more bikes on the road. So that was basically my inspiration: bikes and spring. I’m not a bicycle person. I must admit I have truly hard time biking . I’m always afraid I will fall… so far it never happened yet but the fear is still there so that is why I prefer running when my sons and husband are biking. But of course, a tiny red bike on top of a pencil is another story…I hope you will like it.

Analogica, Zenit 3 M ( 1962 ) priva di esposimetro, Helios 58 mm f 2 ( M 39 ) Fuji color C 200, sviluppo con Tetenal. E' molto difficile fare foto a dei topi che appena sentono il minimo rumore scappano subito e ogni volta che mi presento con un 100 o 135 mm non ci sono mai, la rete verde del pollaio poi non aiuta la messa a fuoco...Ora esco con il cane !
Somewhere on Skye
Those of you who have been lucky enough to shoot on On the Isle of Skye with Skyeweasel may well recognise this waterfall. However, at Louise's request we are sworn to secrecy and under threat of removal of body parts if any of us breaks that promise.
I can see why she wants to keep it hidden and having gone through my images I do feel I could do better so hope to return.
I think it could have done with some more waterflow from a photography perspective but that comes with other risks of course!
I tend to agree with a certain Mr Hardcastle that not showing the top of waterfalls lends them a bit of mystery. The viewer doesn't know how far up the falls go. Additionally in this case the shape of the top was like a gently sloping U and there was no sky interest so I have cropped it out. It is also a 5 shot focus stacked image to try to get everything in focus.
Wonder what the vegetation would look like here in Autumn.
There are a few shots of this location I'll be posting. I hope I've done it justice Louise?
