Macro Mondays Theme - Brush
Happy Macro Monday :)
Taken with 90mm of extension tubes - about 2:1 with a 100mm lens. Manual focus at 10X. Everything moves around during focusing.
The staff of the regional trains in the Chinese province Yunnan try to earn some extra money by selling little toys or other useful items. They rarely attract adults' attention.
We had a nice party brushing our teeth and also some murder, a little bit of cleanup at the end.
Spontaneous parties are the best!!

Two Hello Kitty brushes. The geisha one is my favorite. I had some awesome HK toothpaste that went with these. The flavor was Princess Fruit Bubblegum, and the package actually said "This product contains no sugar". :D
Macro Mondays - White on white
A special toothbrush for working on the gum lime. White brush with white foamcore background.
My first subject using the Nikon Z6 photo stacking feature. Configured with 25 shots and a focus step width of 3. Found that the camera would not work unless I was in all the right modes. Or at least these are the ones that it accepted: manual white balance, manual exposure, AF-S, and AF-area mode. Used Meike extension tubes for a length of 29mm. Stacked the images with CombineZP and cropped with GIMP. I was running close to the MacroMonday deadline so I did not get to play with this much.

Seed Part: 1x4 gear plate
"A build a day, for the month of May" is the challenge I declared for myself at the beginning of this month.
I wanted to add a twist, so I had a friend give me a seed part every day that I had to include in the build.
Build Notes: I built this model at a friends house with his parts. The bathroom sink and counter top at his house was a perfect setting to take pictures at. This build also almost got destroyed before I even took pictures of it because my friend thought I had already taken the photos. I also tested the toothbrush and it is NOT a great toothbrush for ACTUALLY brushing your teeth with. My personal rating: 8/10

Brickthing and I had a blast collabrating on this build. We joked that we should save it for SHIPtember, since it measures well over 250 studs long. But, in the end, we decided this would be a better place for it.
