The Glienicke Bridge over the Havel between Berlin and Potsdam connects the Königstraße (Berlin-Wannsee) with the Berliner Straße in the Berlin suburb of Potsdam in the course of the Bundesstraße 1. The state border between Brandenburg and Berlin and the city border with Potsdam run across the middle of the bridge. During the period of German division, the Glienicke Bridge gained worldwide fame through the third and final agent exchange spectacularly staged on 11 February 1986.

"The Polar Express" is a 2004 animated Christmas film featuring Tom Hanks in multiple roles, including the main character, Hero Boy, and the Conductor, exploring themes of belief and the magic of Christmas. I love this Christmas movie, and finding this little train in a drawer was what inspired me to take the photo.

I used a small metal pencil sharpener, a blue winter glittered background, white sand and two tabletop lamps with blue gel filters for lighting. The photo is less than 3" including the negative space.

..This location is where Forest Gump ran to the end of the lighthouse it is an awesome location, it's small and off the beaten path........But worth the stop!!!! Hope to get back soon!!!!
I spent the 4th of July touring the National WWII Museum. This is a fantastic museum. You can easily spend the entire day there. Definitely a museum that all Americans should see and realize the sacrifices the "Greatest Generation" made for our country,
this is zoltar from the movie big staring tom hanks it was one of my favourite movies growing up and i spotted this on the llandudno pier a few weeks back on a trip up there i naturally give it a try

The film adaptation of Dan Brown's bestseller of the same name, directed by Ron Howard in 2003, combines real elements into a fantastic thriller, just like the book it is based on. At the end of the film, Professor Langdon, played by Tom Hanks, kneels down on the base of the pyramid visible at the top because the tomb of Mary Magdalene, and therefore the Holy Grail, is fictitiously located under the stone counterpart at the bottom.

Like the large entrance pyramid of the Louvre, the inverted pyramid was designed by the architect Ieoh Ming Pei
and opened to the public in 1993. Above ground, the pyramid is concealed behind hedges in the centre of the Place du Carrousel. Daylight enters the hall below through its transparent base, which is turned upwards.
Access is possible every day long after the shops have closed via the underground shopping centre ‘Carrousel du Louvre’ at 99 Rue de Rivoli until 10 pm. The last hour is a good time to take photos of the pyramid without visitors.

Umgekehrte Glaspyramide des Louvre unter der Place du Carrousel (1er)
Die Verfilmung des gleichnamigen Bestsellers von Dan Brown unter der Regie von Ron Howard aus dem Jahre 2003 fügt wie die Vorlage reale Elemente zu einem phantastischen Thriller zusammen. Am Ende des Films kniet der von Tom Hanks dargestellte Professor Langdon auf der oben sichtbaren Grundfläche der Pyramide nieder, weil sich unter der steinernen Entsprechung am Boden fiktiv das Grab der Maria Magdalena und damit der Heilige Gral befinden soll.

Wie die große Eingangspyramide des Louvre wurde die umgekehrte Pyramide von dem Architekten Ieoh Ming Pei
entworfen und 1993 der Öffentlichkeit übergeben. Oberirdisch ist die Pyramide hinter Hecken in der Mitte der Place du Carrousel verborgen. Durch ihre nach oben gedrehte transparente Grundfläche fällt das Tageslicht in die darunter gelegene Halle.
Der Zugang ist täglich noch lange nach Schließung der Geschäfte über das unterirdisch angelegte Einkaufszentrum 'Carrousel du Louvre' in der Rue de Rivoli 99 bis 22 Uhr möglich. Zum Fotografieren der Pyramide ohne Besucher ist die letzte Stunde eine gute Gelegenheit.

A major scene from the 1994 movie Forest Gump was shot at this location. Forest (Tom Hanks) had been running back and forth across America and suddenly decides to stop running at this spot. The Valley of the Gods is a scenic sandstone valley along Highway 163 near Mexican Hat in San Juan County, Southeastern Utah. It features stunning buttes, pinnacles and other geologic formations. Print Size 13x19 inches.
My history hopping route back to Maine had me going through the very remote Texas Panhandle (cattle, lots of cattle) and it took me right down this dirt road which some of you might recognize
Looking for interesting compositions along the pacific coast was one of those things we did when not searching for moonstones. I found this grotto to be an interesting point of view and somehow reminded me of the famous movie Cast Away with Tom Hanks.

I have been so busy with client work recently that I haven't had time to get to any personal stuff. I took a quick break yesterday to edit this image. This is my first from my Monument Valley journey! I hope to be able to get to the rest soon and hope everyone has started their week off right! :)
Taking this image was so much fun. The natives and the travelers down this road are continuously moving at a pretty fast pace. We had to be quick to capture this, took a few tries but no close calls. Great experience!

Did you recognise Tom Hanks from my drawing? I picked him because my sister said she's trying to master drawing portraits and her idea was to draw lovely Tom! So when I went to see her at the weekend, I did a sketch similar to this, to show her how I go about my drawings. Then I thought I should have another go back home, as he is one of my favourite actors and seems like an all-round nice chap! Big is one of my all-time faves!
I went out skating with the boys recently and think I finally realized I am becoming not such a spring chicken anymore. We had a good time, It was fun rolling around the park and landing a few of the old tricks I once practice religiously. When it came to wrapping the day up just before we headed for the car I tried one last pop shove-it, I landed on the board and then in typical skater fashion the board decided it didn't want to be under my feet anymore and it hurried away without me. I remember those falls well,but they hurt more now! :)
This photo was taken at mile marker 13 on highway 163 in monument valley. The same location where Tom Hanks in Forest Gump stopped running.

Re-creating the ambience around the the 25th and last mission flown by Memphis Bell and her crew in 1943. For this shoot we had no reenactors but genuine actors, who like the original crew are aged between 18 and 26 years of age! & with all the authentic equipment as it was back in that period. These actors have taken part in the upcoming new mini series directed by Spielberg & Hanks called 'Masters of the Air'. Colour photography was rare during World War II and this is what some photos looked like at that time.
