Concours d'Elegance at the 17th century Paleis Soestdijk. Former residence of former queen Juliana.
At the event they had this Spyker C8 GT2-R race car. It participated in the 2005 24h Le Mans. One of the drivers was Tom Coronel and I'm a huge fan of him. It looked up the specs: Audi 3.8 litros V8 engine. Qualified last and crashed in the race due to the throttle pedal that got stuck.
Spyker was a Dutch carriage and later car and airplane manufacturer from 1880-1926. They've created the Golden Coach. The brand was resurrected in 1999 as Spyker Cars. In their heyday they had a Le Mans 24h team and even an Formula 1 team and bought Saab. They went bankrupt several times but keep trying to come back. Lots of their early machines can be seen in the brilliant Louwman Museum in The Hague.

To the left is Tom Coronel, a professional racing driver since 2005, who has been racing a Honda Civic Type R in 2020. To the right is Max Verstappen, the first world champion in Formula 1 from the Netherlands. Since 2019 the Red Bull racing cars have a Honda engine.

This is a works-entered SEAT Leon as driven during the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship by double British Touring Car Champion Jason Plato and Darren Turner. A third car was entered for Tom Coronel at the final round of the season at Thruxton.
