It’s #TillerTuesday! Castle Beach Fire Department has taken delivery of a brand new Pierce Quantum Tractor-drawn Aerial (with 15 functional compartments). Although Truck 2 comes in at 62 ft in length, the apparatus can maneuver much easier than a rear-mount or mid-mount aerial thanks to the steering 5th wheel. Truck 2 is assigned the shop number 22004 and will see action shortly. Per the Castle Beach Fire Department Truck Company Specification, this apparatus is a straight truck, carrying no water or hose. If necessary, a 3” monitor can be supplied by the 2-car and attached to the tip of the aerial for master stream operations. As part of the technical rescue team, this apparatus (along with Truck 1) has an A-frame gantry to assist with lifting heavy objects or for low angle rescues.

Heard it’s #tillertuesday, so here is Brickadia Fire & Rescue Engine 36! Housed with Truck 36, USAR 36, and Battalion 36, Engine 36 is the busiest company out of the Station 36. This apparatus was purchased in 2008 and received a light refurb in 2019.
