Waist deep in water trying to find different summer sunset compositions, Erdek, Turkey

It’s been awhile since I posted any rope. I know, weird subject but there is just something about it that grabs my attention. Yeah, it’s definitely the textures but I also feel like it has seen stuff, lived a whole life, and has good stories to tell. Not sure it’s normal to give inanimate objects ‘life’ but that’s where my head goes every time!

After one full week of virtual learning with my kids I’m so ready for Friday! May even tie one on. (Kidding!!!) :-)

Happy Friday all!!! I hope you have a great weekend!!!

This tie was bought for me many years ago and has languished at the back of the wardrobe, never to be worn! I hated the zigzag pattern and the colours. It is finally being put to use with this theme today!

Tied to Silence

Some scenes do not ask for explanations.

A boat tied to a tree, on a grey day by the Korana River.

No movement, no hurry — just a pause filled with meaning.

Black and white does not remove color here; it adds calm.

Moments like this remind us that stillness can also be a journey.

Vezan uz tišinu

Postoje prizori koji ne traže objašnjenje.

Čamac, vezan uz drvo, u sivom danu uz Koranu.

Nema pokreta, nema žurbe — samo čekanje koje nije prazno.

Crno-bijelo ovdje ne oduzima boju, nego dodaje mir.

Ovakvi prizori podsjećaju da i mirovanje može biti putovanje.

This is one of my favourite Ties.... Checkered with textures.

It's been a while since I've done a true Star Wars model. Here's my first TIE!

Based on the TIE Seeker model by Elliot Davis on Artstation, and the bulk of the cockpit shaping is from Inthert. Unfortunately the triangle tiles on the s-foils were flipped around in Mecabricks and I didn't notice until it was too late.

I hope to build this model IRL, but the high Bricklink price tag makes me want to find a solution for the more expensive parts first.

Out to impress, this Great Tit proudly sports his wide black tie (breast stripe) which becomes even wider between his legs.

Thank you all for your kind responses.

Pilatus Love Ties

Pilatus (also often referred to Mount Pilatus) is a mountain massif overlooking Lucerne in Central Switzerland. It is composed of several peaks, of which the highest (2,128 m (6,982 ft)) is named Tomlishorn

Pilatus, is one of the most legendary places in Central Switzerland. And one of the most beautiful. On a clear day the mountain offers a panoramic view of 73 Alpine peaks

Because the peaks are so steep, traversing around them called for tunneling a pathway into the mountain. In a couple of sections, the tunnel broke through the mountain wall, rendering both the inspiration and photo for “A Cave With A View”.

From the outside, those windows invoke the eyes of the old man of the mountain.

From the inside, folks commemorate their love at the top of the world with a combination of the traditional lock and the non-traditional "tie".

May no gift be too small to give,

nor too simple to receive,

which is wrapped in thoughtfulness

and tied with love.
