A closer up view of the old barge trapped on the weir at Castleford.
The river was quite full that night and I liked the swirling effect of the water and the way the light lead up to and around the hull.

Small forest of hardwoods keeps watch over Seminary Fen Scientific & Natural Area in Chanhassen/Chaska, Minnesota.
This was originally the site of the Mudcura Sanitarium, a world-famous spa that was opened in 1909 and operated until 1951.
Per MNOpedia, in 1951, the sanitarium was sold to the Black Franciscans, Order of Friars Minor Conventual, from Louisville, Kentucky. They named it Assumption Seminary and the site became linked with both the Colleges of St. Catherine and St. Thomas in St. Paul.
The Seminary remained in operation until 1970 and then sat vacant for many years, becoming a popular hangout for teens and other thrill seekers. The main building burned and was demolished in 1997.
The land is now home to the Minnesota DNR Seminary Fen Scientific & Natural Area that protects the rare calcareous fen that is now the star of the show here.

Linda and I just got home from three days at Jackson, Wyoming and Grand Teton National Park. We were too late for good fall color but we had a great time anyway. These buildings were the Thomas Murphy homestead located on Mormon Row, now a historic district within the National Park. Murphy laid claim to the land in 1908 and took title in 1915. The background is part of the base of the Grand Teton mountain range.

Restored greenhouses in the walled garden of Holkham Hall, Norfolk. The original 18th Century greenhouses had slate roofs. They were replaced in the 1920s by Thomas Messenger glasshouses (one of the leading 19-20th Century manufacturers). These were recently restored to their original form preserving the original cast iron fittings, window mechanisms and guttering.
En effet, les Eurocity, c'est fini... depuis ce Samedi 02 Avril 2016. Ce fut bien dommage de supprimé un tel train qui aura durer de 1987 à 2016...

Known as the Nelly Thomas Home, it was built in about 1780, the oldest portion being a log structure. Board and batten was added in the mid-19th century. It was restored starting in 2001.
On the left, the church of St Thomas of Canterbury, built 1874-5. On the right, the tower of the church of St Mary Magdalene. This church was begun in Norman times, with the tower being rebuilt in 1503. The tower is now the only remaining part of St Mary, the rest having been demolished in 1871 with some of the stone being used to enlarge the nearby St George’s which itself was destroyed, apart from its tower, in WW2.

I loved the little fluffy cloud, but the light was much to bright and straight onto the church, making it 2D. But as a place to be on a November day, it was heavenly.
