We took the most harrowing boatride ever to get to this island. We had no idea what we were getting into when we booked the boat earlier in the day.
We only had one full day in Punta Arenas on which to take this trip, so rain or no rain, we signed up.
We paid double to go on the speedboat and see two islands, instead of the big, slow boat to only one. And on one hand, it's a good thing we did as the big boat was canceled due to the weather.
The small boat, the Orca Waia, turns out to be a rescue boat, so it's quite capable of handling rougher seas. It was not, however, outfitted to make that ride any more comfortable.
Needless to say, we were all about 3 inches shorter (7.62cm) by the time we got to the island. The weather cleared later, but was still crappy when I shot my penguin pictures.
I rather liked this fellow- reminds me of me :)

"Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo."

Another view of the office with everything be-tarped in preparation for the destruction of the brick wall. Dust still got everywhere, of course, but it was less dust.
And yes, that's part of our collection of vintage Apple ThinkDifferent posters along the back wall.

Apple's Think Different campaign: "Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes ... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. ... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things. ... They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."

4 Robert Brophy is pleased to bring Brofistotle’s Model of thinking to the world now, at a time when so many are determined to keep thinking the way they, and their ancestor’s, have thought for a 100 years. ‘While we predict the book will be heralded as a scathing expose of arrogant, confusing and misleading elements of society, we’re confident our book will spark serious debate and discussion in philosophy, science and religion around the world.’
