This tiny perennial Geranium has become naturalized in my garden, roaming around and popping up wherever it chooses. Since it rarely threatens other flowers, I let it add its colorful accent wherever it pleases.
"Little things seem nothing, but they give peace, like those meadow flowers which individually seem odorless, but altogether perfume the air."
~ Georges Bernanos
"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever ... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.
~ Aaron Siskind
The world is full of magical things patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper.
-- Bertrand Russell
Listen to birds chatting in the morning when the sky turns from black to blue and pink, shy at first and full of energy shortly...
Wait for the morning mist to leave a trail of little stars that sparkle in the grass while the sun rises and paints the canvas of the sky...
Breathe the crisp air... Have a coffee...
Small things at the start of a new day... Small things that bring comfort and calm...
It's strange how the simple things in life go on while we become more difficult.
~ Richard Brautigan
For Friday Fences I am giving you - a fence and red things. This again is Wales and I can't remember the name of the town. I think it was in Pembrokeshire but without trying to find my notes from back then I just don't know. We had a lovely cup of coffee there but it was difficult to find parking. Probably because we didn't have a red car...

Well we've loaded the motor home and heading to St. Louis today. Our youngest son graduates Thursday from police academy. He will be a police officer in a suburb town near St. Louis. So when I get TIME I will try to connect and comment for sure. But all take care and be safe.
Crazy Tuesday-Things With Wheels
remember how it used to be
when the sun would fill up the sky
remember how we used to feel
those days would never end
those days would never end
remember how it used to be
when the stars would fill the sky
remember how we used to dream
those nights would never end
those nights would never end
it was the sweetness of your skin
it was the hope of all we might have been
that fills me with the hope to wish
impossible things
but now the sun shines cold
and all the sky is grey
the stars are dimmed by clouds and tears
and all i wish
is gone away
all i wish
is gone away
all i wish
is gone away

This past week I completed my third trip to the romanticized "Iron Range" in Northern Minnesota. My first trip was January of 2019. Even in that short amount of time I have noticed many changes on the range. I won't go on and preach to the choir but one of the most notable changes is the power. EMD's and GE's are used almost interchangeably on the Missabe Sub, leading to mismatched sets of 40's and -8's. I was never in the hobby early enough to see the range with just 40's, but shooting full EMD sets has become a rarity- too rare to even be guaranteed a shot of the year if you run the numbers and spend a week up here. Ive been having a debate within my own head if another trip is worth it in the near future. Next thing I will know 5 years will pass by and even the things I take for granted will be gone.
Here C40-8 no. 2041 takes the lead of a Southbound train while being illuminated by a small sucker hole in the West sky.
And out mushrooms, and snails and colors turn red ... And life takes a color and a different smell !!!
