For TOTW: Movie Lines
"The Wizard of Oz" is not one of my all time, top ten, favorite films. however, it's such a part of my childhood that it's nearly ingrained in my psyche. and i do like it quite a bit. even now, even when the special effects of those days pale in comparison to what we can do now.
it's like a much needed dose of worry-free childhood moments.
and then there's "Wicked". one of my favorite plays and/or musicals in the last several years. if you've not seen it, i highly recommend it. you know...if you like that sort of thing, of course.
but i've had these red shoes for a year or two and i find them to be just ridiculously adorable. i don't wear them as often as i'd like, though.
so when i stumbled across these shoes last week, i just had to. clearly, they're not exactly True Ruby Slippers. i'm well aware. but, isn't this meant to be one's own interpretation of whichever line one chooses?
(even if it's not, that's my story and i'm sticking to it!)
i wish this TOTW: Movie Lines of the Week theme was, instead, Movie Lines of the MONTH. i do love it so.
i have too many ideas and not enough time, so perhaps i'll have to have a go at creating a little 'series' of my own...

Taken at my brother's property outside Orange during a recent trip to Australia.
According to Genesis, after Noah's flood God put the rainbow in the sky as the sign of His promise that He would never again destroy the earth with flood (Genesis 9:13–17): I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured circular arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.
Rainbows can be full circles. However, the observer normally sees only an arc formed by illuminated droplets above the ground, and centered on a line from the sun to the observer's eye.
In a primary rainbow, the arc shows red on the outer part and violet on the inner side. This rainbow is caused by light being refracted when entering a droplet of water, then reflected inside on the back of the droplet and refracted again when leaving it.
In a double rainbow, a second arc is seen outside the primary arc, and has the order of its colours reversed, with red on the inner side of the arc. This is caused by the light being reflected twice on the inside of the droplet before leaving it.

When a man's an empty kettle,
He should be on his mettle
And yet I'm torn apart.
Just because I'm presumin'
That I could be kinda human,
If I only had a heart.
I'd be tender — I'd be gentle
And awful sentimental
Regarding Love and Art
I'd be friends with sparrows
And the boy who shoots the arrows
If I only had a heart.

I am obsessed with this gown from GizzA which is available at enchantment. It is jut striking and the back is so beautiful! The train of the dress drags behind and the form fitting corset and billowy gown give way to one of the most beautiful and elegant of gowns! I love how the plaid was kicked up a notch. This is one of the best translations of Dorothy and I am ....

Windows from all over the World
These images are from my large window collection. There seems to be nothing I won’t take a photograph of. However it feeds my total obsession to photography. These are mostly from all over the place, it’s hard to keep track because there are so many but this selection are from shop windows. More images to follow.
That spider will freak out the Scarecrow.

I am totally killing it in this dress and hat by Dead Dollz that was inspired by the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz! If you could only have one little black dress as a staple for your SL wardrobe, this little number would be it. The belts that cinch the waist elevate this design and the slits are just sexy enough to create sweet magic! I can’t get over how well Lumae does fantasy skin. This green skin i......

Somewhere Over the Rainbow ~ Judy Garland 1939
To the MANY of you who choose not to be tagged, or the few I may have forgotten (sorry) please feel free to add yourself ~
So with two bands names in the title from the 70s I was going back further to the original Judy Garland song Over the Rainbow,
7DOS on song Black & White Wednesday
Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high
There's a land that I've heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream,
Really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops,
Way above the chimney tops,
That's where you'll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow, blue birds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?
Somewhere over the rainbow, blue birds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?
About the error on the back of his display box...
