Another Lensbaby photo. Background color thanks to the "auto levels" function in Photoshop. I must say that blue is way better than the muddy, reddish brown my camera selected. 167/365 project bokeh
These are two of my favorite things.

Wow, Hannah, your focus is wonderful! Love the location too, great lines! This would be even stronger if the bridge support didn't merge with Griffen's head, just moving him over a bit would take care of that.

The rich and complex flavor of these Attika sweet cherries reminds me of the taste of a full-bodied red wine, so it seemed natural to photograph them in a wine glass for my Lensbaby Magic class. The assignment is to look at something familiar in a new way. I've certainly tipped a few wine glasses in my time, and these cherries are quite familiar since I have five hundred pounds in my cooler. Bon appetite and bottoms up!

This is AMAZING, Hannah!! Your focus on the flying cherries and the splash is perfect and sooooo hard to achieve! I absolutely love this, it's one of the most creative shots we have ever had submitted for this class. Excellent work, and I do like the crop, it's perfect! Kathleen
It has really been a tough week! On the sixteenth, my Dad got hit by a car and knocked to the ground along with another pedestrian. On the twenty-first, he turned ninety. I'm happy to say he was around to celebrate his birthday, although in some pain. He has a fractured elbow, fractured pelvis and deep bruising to his hip. Today he was exercising, doing leg lifts with both legs and curls with his good arm. We discontinued 24 hour care today, and he is going to have help six hours a day, with me popping over several times a day. You just can't keep him down!
I have had so much fun with my Lensbaby class! This star aperture is so cool, but it especially shines when used in a much more subtle manner than the effect it has in this photo. I like the weeds in the bottom left.

Unfortunately the shot after this one where the woman wasn't so close to that shed on her left was blurry. boo, indeed.

The boys are a little of both.
Most of their time is spent at the warehouse right on Highway 101 and we do a lot of training in the parking lot and in the warehouse, but we are only five minutes from the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area and are able to play there daily. Not a bad state of affairs.
And before anyone mentions that we shouldn't be jumping on that hard surface, we don't. Normally we work on handling skills out here and not jumping and speed work.

Anyone know what this is? It's been growing all over my yard for several years. It's not very attractive in real life.

Love this, Hannah! You have simplified what would have been such a busy subject, and easily control just where the viewer's eye goes in the image! Your sweet spot is tack sharp, not easy at all with this subject, and the lighting is so soft and pretty. Excellent work! Kathleen
I've been playing around with The Composer which is kind of tricky to get the hang of but really, really neat. I'll have to read up on it a little bit more to understand just how it works.

Love the idea here, Hannah. Your sweet spot is nice and sharp, but it's a bit to the right of the dandelion, so my eye keeps being pulled away from your main subject to the tack sharp boards. The blur in the background is very cool! Kathleen
The Composer: composes of itself in itself by itself!...
never runs out of ideas...
its Orchestra never runs out of music...
and their music never runs out of sound!
