My Lego custom minifigure of Nyssa Al'Ghul, daughter of Ra's al Ghul, the leader of The League of Assassins from The Arrow TV show. I used Citadel and Game Color acrylic paints for painting and faux leather for cape, Skirt and sleeves
So DC has yet another TV show primed and ready to throw at your television (not to mention Teen Titans, and Legends of Tomorrow right on their heels)
CBS's Supergirl trailer has just dropped earlier today:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lm46-envrHo
Now to be honest, I've got some mixed feeling over it. The first being that not a single time was the Superman name used. This is becoming a really weirdly drawn thin line between DCCU and The Arrow-verse because like, her origins and bigger story-arcs are heavily reliant on him. I feel like most people see her as a Superman protege anyway, so you'd think they'd at least name drop him once, but hey, I don't work in DC's legal department.
It's just getting a little funky, like does this mean that the DCCU can't use characters like Supergirl, without them just being references, like the "My Cousin" phrase they kept using? Hell, we're gonna have two different live action Flash's by 2018... but I dunno... I probably shouldn't be so bent out of shape because of over thinking something :P
Anyway, if you guys have some venting to do about this trailer (like I do, clearly), let me know what you thought :)
AKA Oliver Queen, the protector of Star City. After five years in hell, the Green Arrow fights the criminals that prey on his city with a team of fellow vigilantes.
Part of the Heroes We Deserve project for BFVA 2017.
Arrow is my favorite of the DC superhero TV shows that currently air. I knew from the beginning I wanted to build the Green Arrow for this collection, specifically his season 5 outfit. His torso area was difficult, but his cowl was the hardest thing to build in the entire collection. I think it turned out pretty well, after getting advice from a few builders.
I'm positive that I am the only person who has ever brick-built a Green Arrow based off the TV show, and I've only ever seen one other Green Arrow character build done, which was at a larger scale.
Notice that the base is arrowhead shaped. ;)
Enjoy the next addition!

Through the creations that I build, I hope to inspire other young (or perhaps older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity. We all need a positive way to express ourselves, so let's let LEGO be an extension of us. Your creativity belongs to you, and nobody can take that away. Build what you want to build, and how you want to build it.
This frames the small constellations of Sagitta the Arrow (at bottom) and Vulpecula the Fox (at top), to include a number of deep-sky objects in a wide field of view similar to that of binoculars.
At upper right is the asterism the Coathanger, aka Collinder 399 or Brocchi's Cluster. It is immersed in some faint blue reflection nebulosity, notably Van denBurgh 126 to the north. Below the Coathanger is the small round pinkish patch of Sharpless 2-82. Off the left end of the Coathanger is the small star cluster NGC 6802.
At lower left is the green planetary nebula Messier 27, aka the Dumbbell. Left of centre is the diffuse patch of red emission nebulosity NGC 6823, and above it the smaller Sharpless 2-88. At bottom, below the two yellow stars in Sagitta, is the globular cluster Messier 71.
The field is also laced with lots of distinct dark nebulas, though none carry any Barnard catalogue designations; all are LDN objects from the Lynds catalogue.
The field is 15° by 10° , so wider than most binoculars.
This is a stack of 14 x 2-minute exposures with the Canon RF135mm lens at f/2.5 on the Canon Ra at ISO 800. No filter was used. The camera was on the MSM Nomad tracker, and the images were the best 14 taken out of a series shot to test the tracking of the Nomad. And taken in early June when the sky isn't astronomically dark. North is to the upper left in this framing.
Love season three of arrow a lot and I love arrow and arsenal teaming up in this season. The Arrow's suit is based on the slightly new suit that was given to him from Cisco (in the arrow and flash crossover episode) and Roy's arsenal suit is the same thing we have seen since the pilot episode in season 3. I made a video of these two including the flash and check that out in my channel 97legomaniac
1/10 LOST Dharma Stations. designed by
The Arrow is DHARMA Initiative station number 2, whose primary purpose was the development of defensive strategies against the Hostiles. ("Because You Left") The station is an underground bunker or complex located somewhere east or northeast of the Barracks, and an hour or two from the coastline. The Arrow was discovered by the tail section survivors 27 days after Flight 815's crash. It is about a three days' trek from the tail crash site to the Arrow.

The Worlds fastest comic art tutorial. I love drawing comics and I created this video to demonstrate how to draw a splash page which is basically a large page that tells a story with no panels. Green Arrow is a fictional superhero who appears in comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Morton Weisinger and designed by George Papp, he first appeared in More Fun Comics #73 in November 1941. His real name is Oliver Queen, a billionaire businessman and owner of Queen Industries, also a well-known celebrity in his locale of Star City.[2] Sometimes shown dressed like Robin Hood, Green Arrow is an archer who uses his skills to fight crime in his home cities of Star City and Seattle, as well as alongside his fellow superheroes as a member of the Justice League. Though much less frequently used in modern stories, he also deploys a range of trick arrows with various special functions, such as glue, explosive-tipped, grappling hook, flash grenade, tear gas and even kryptonite arrows for use in a range of special situations. At the time of his debut, Green Arrow functioned in many ways as an archery-themed analogue of the very popular Batman character, but writers at DC subsequently developed him into a voice of progressivism very much distinct in character from Batman. Here is some info on the character from the TV Series: Arrow is an American television series developed by writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg. It is based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow, a costumed crime-fighter created by Mort Weisinger and George Papp. It premiered in North America on The CW on October 10, 2012, with international broadcasting taking place in late 2012. Primarily filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the series follows billionaire playboy Oliver Queen, portrayed by Stephen Amell, who, five years after being stranded on a hostile island, returns home to fight crime and corruption as a secret vigilante whose weapon of choice is a bow and arrow. Unlike in the comic books, Queen does not initially go by the alias "Green Arrow" until the fourth season. The series takes a realistic look at the Green Arrow character, as well as other characters from the DC Comics universe. Although Oliver Queen/Green Arrow had been featured in the television series Smallville from 2006 to 2011, the producers decided to start clean and find a new actor (Amell) to portray the character. Arrow focuses on the humanity of Oliver Queen, and how he was changed by time spent shipwrecked on an island. Most episodes have flashback scenes to the five years in which Oliver was missing. In 2001 i was lucky enough to be invited to watch practise and quailifying for the british GP.
We were based at the British racing drivers club for the day, which was an excellent view point to take photos due to the lack of fences.
As a GP fan for most of my adult life this was a chance of a life time, being able to view the cars close up and rub shoulders with motorsport personalitys.
This view shows an TWR Arrows A22 powered by the Asiatech 3.0 litre V10 entering the pit lane.
This was unfortunatley theArrows teams penultimate season in F1,the team collasped during 2002 due to financial problems.
The car aqua planes into the pits piloted by Dutch driver Jos Vestappen.
The 2001 season was a poor season for arrows, there only points were gathered by Jos with a 6th place at the Austrian GP.The Asiatech engine, basically the former Peugeot engine rebadged, lacked power and the A22 chassis was only an update of the car raced in 2000.
The prevous years car the A21 was powered by the more powerful Supertech engine (formelly Renault) and had a much better aerodynamic package enabling it to be often the fasted car in a straight line, acheiving much better results.
Tom Walkinshaw of TWR had acheived great thing in various other levels of motor sport including touring cars and sports cars,he aquired the venerable Arrows team in 1996 from former racer Jack Oliver and pulled of a real coup for the 1997 season signing world champion Damon Hill and wealthy pay driver Pedro Diniz to help pay Damon's wages.
A near win aside in 1997 at the Hungarian GP,they came home 2nd due to a tramission fault during the last few laps allowing Jaques Villenueve to pass Damons car and take the win, little else was really acheived by Arrows under TWR ownership.
Jos brought the car home in 10th place during this GP.

AN IN-PROPORTIONALLY LARGE part of Canadian history revolves around aviation.
BASICALLY nothing happened in Canada, until we embraced the world of aviation.
Nothing?
Nothing.
And then, we almost went to the moon. By ourselves.
Canadian innovation.
We didn't have much as a nation. And we were pretty small, population wise. But, by gosh, we ran with what we had—
'Course you'll never learn that in school.
Elementary, collegiate, or post-secondary.
Oh, no.
Let's talk about Louis Riel, Pierre Trudeau, the suffragettes, …etc.
Hey! Let's not…
… and say we did.
WAY BACK IN GRADE 8, I had a crush on an attractive little blond girl.
Course, a lotta' guys in my class did. And we had some hockey stars, and some hunks, a guitar player or two, and a whole bunch of other guys that would appeal to a little girl a lot more than I would. I mean these were the days before my weightlifting, wrestling, and boxing obsessions.
I mean, I was pretty nerdy kid.
So I would talk about the only thing I knew. Those mighty, mighty Lancs.
I mean, I was just a dumb little kid.
Well, she laughed, and she laughed hard. And she laughed often. And soon enough everybody was jeering at my mighty, mighty Lanc stories.
Course, it only got worse.
I had just about given up. And, I had just about tossed in the towel because the object of my affection was further away than ever.
But then again, we're Canadians. And we never give up, and of course, we never say quit. Unless you're born out of that "New" Canada. Then you can, and will do, whatever.
So I took the ridicule. And I waited.
And then something extraordinary happened. All stars the aligned. And almost overnight.
She came over to me one day, and smiled. She said, "You know I saw a special last night on TV that had these Lancasters flying in it. There were all these people walking around and…"
That's when I cut her off.
"You mean, they were talking about my mighty, mighty Lancs!?"
"No", she quietly responded, "They were talking about OUR mighty, mighty, Lancs."
"Do you want to walk me home, today?"
"Yes, I believe I do—"
There are people who say we can't rebuild Canada. That we're done. Well… I don't think so.
They also say there will be no more great stories of Canadian innovation. And that's where I cut them off.
Folks, it all unravelled with the Avro Arrow, and that's what we have to go back to. That's where we have to begin.
Again.
A new Arrow. Several marks to meet the varying, but ever-present defence needs of Canada. But that will be just the beginning. That is only a start, towards a renewed national independence and a more enlightened nation-building policy.
Since that IS where we lost our Canadian soul, that IS where we have to take it back.
We have to re-establish Avro Canada.
We can't go forward…until we go all the way back. Yes, even past the Arrow… to the Jetliner!
But… I'm showing too much of my hand.
'nuff said.
The sign of Toby was linked to the Charrington brewery and their pubs, and can still be seen on many buildings which are or were used as pubs. This particular plaque is the only remaining feature of The Arrows, Pomeroy Street, New Cross.
